When I got the GPD Win in 2016, that was one of the first games I played on it. I guess that was over seven years ago, time flies

Quoting: PenglingMan! I remember when VVVVVV was new, and now it's 14 years later and it's still being supported! :shock:Is it that old?

Team Fortress: Source 2 fan project gets a DMCA from Valve

This has made me lose a lot of trust in Valve. I'm surprised some find excuses for it. For all intents and purposes, this really is a mod. It's TF2 with a Source 2 mod, in a sense. The thing is, the original TF2 makes money through its economy and Valve's official item servers. A simple mod, even if it's a whole engine port, cannot replicate this, so why take it down?
Let's not forget TF2 has entire overhauls readily available to download. Team Fortress 2 Classic, Pre-Fortress 2 and Open Fortress. These games also do not feature item servers, every item is available to every player from the get-go. And Valve seems to have no problem with these. What's different about the Source 2 port? And why would they take it down now after it has already been in development for years?

Tetris Effect: Connected adds HDR for Steam Deck OLED plus optimizations

Quoting: usrtrvI'm more curious why they had to enable HDR for the SteamDeck anyway. It was playable with HDR before, via putting SteamDeck=0 %command% -dx12 in the launch options. Make of that what you will, I don't have a deep enough understanding of what's going on.
It's running through Proton, if Windows had HDR why wouldn't Linux (through Proton) not have HDR? Unless they made specific graphic settings for SteamDeck?
Overwatch 2 out on Steam - works fine on Steam Deck and desktop Linux

Overwatch deserves all the criticism it gets. I'm surprised how supporters of an open platform like Linux seem to be the least appalled by a company shutting down a game people paid money for, breaking all the promises they made about keeping the game fair for the future and replacing it with a "micro"transaction, pay-2-win hellhole that doesn't even have the PvE campaign that was supposed to be the entire reason for the appended "2" in the title.
It's an all-around disgusting release.
