Quoting: lucifertdarkI would much prefer to have them say "we found a bug & fixed it" rather than "we found a bug & we'll fix it some time in the next month or so", fix it then tell us it about it.How exactly would it be better if they kept us in the dark? On the contrary, I'd much prefer it if they had a public bug tracker.

I don't think this is a game for me. I like puzzle games, but timers kill the fun.

If you want a short, Myst-like experience for cheap, try Haven Moon. I just recently bought it from the Humble Store [External Link] for a measly 0.89€ and seems like it's 80 % off for a few more days. It took me about 3 hours to puzzle through, and despite some minor annoyances like puzzles that require some running back and forth around the place and a rather flimsy story, it really captures the feeling of Cyan's games. I mean, the game doesn't hold your hand, but none of the puzzles felt unfair or illogical.

Quoting: BeamboomHow linear are these games? Is it more or less a fixed path, a dungeon crawler of sorts? They are modern takes on a classic cRPG formula, more specifically that of Baldur's Gate. There's an overarching story with optional side quests in a well-developed, lore-filled fantasy world. Plenty of freedom in character development and several party members to recruit, all with their own unique stories and personal missions.

Quoting: EikeCould you borrow me your wife?I know this is outrageously selfish of me, but no.
Quoting: EikeMine unfortunately isn't into that, and I liked it so much...Sadly, this isn't common for us either. One or two games per year, maybe. And often she loses interest partway through.

Quoting: EikeYeah, that's how we do it. We've enjoyed several classic RPGs and adventure games together over the years. This only works with games you can play at your own pace though.Quoting: crt0megaI used to play point and clicks with my former girlfriend. Just sitting together at the computer and deciding or puzzling together...Quoting: tuubiStill playing through the first one with my wife.Multiplayer Co-op? Or kinda "hotseat"-like? Last time I've checked PoE only supported single player but maybe I've been misinformed.

Still playing through the first one with my wife. It's an excellent game, and I'm actually happy if Deadfire is more of the same.
The only thing that really bugs me is the way the real-time combat works. It feels both tedious and chaotic, and most of the time I'd rather just get on with the story and the exploration. It doesn't spoil the game for me, but isn't very enjoyable either.

Quoting: RafiLinuxI am also checking out 'Two Worlds Epic Edition' - not really into RPGs of this nature but I picked it up during the recent sale to give it a spin. Seems OK but the walking around has already started to get on my nerves but I am trying to have some patients. The (mostly unrewarding) exploration of the open world kept me playing Two Worlds for quite a while, but even that wasn't enough to keep me interested in the end. Everything about the story and the gameplay just screams "generic RPG". I can only recommend it for people who are looking for a pointless time-waster.
