Quoting: spacemonkeyIf Arc Raiders stops working on Linux because of Denuvo and they get review bombed, then it's definitly the year of the Linux deaktop
Their other game (the finals) uses denuvo for months and hasn't broken cuz of that. However I noticed negative reviews from linux users are prominent on Marathon. 2nd top review on game's store page was "no linux support".

Does it run on Mac? EAC + no native is a blocker for macOS because there is no Proton EAC runtime equivalent for Mac. However with Denuvo it might run.

Quoting: WMan22I wish this was just a regular feature like OtherOS was on PS3, the value add this gives to consoles, especially surrounding matters of End of Life plans, is downright nuts.

Like, Sony's pulling out of single player PC gaming because they want people to buy Playstations but if they just simply made this a feature, bringing PC to Playstation instead of Playstation to PC, they'd accomplish their goal with considerable efficiency. Hell, I'd buy a Playstation again if they did this.
Being able to use steam on a console would make the console's native marketplace moot. Consoles (PS & Xbox, not Switch) are sold at a loss and recouped via online purchases, if customers could use Steam manufacturer suddenly can't make enough money. Or so i believe, considering more options using the console means more people buying it...

Added XDG, Pipewire, and KWin direct screencast capture on Linux
Huh, so I can actually shut off my display when using sunshine instead of setting an invalid input on the monitor so it is off but also "connected"
There's also this https://github.com/frostplexx/sunshine_virt_display [External Link]
I'll check it out though I prefer casting my actual display so I can start doing stuff remotely then continue locally. I use sunshine for streaming my DE instead of games

KDE Plasma 6.7 Beta arrives with Plasma Bigscreen, new Union theme system

Quoting: tmtvlInteresting, especially considering Oxygen is going to make a comeback. KDE 6.7 may turn out beautiful as well as incomparably usable.
I'm already using a combination of oxygen and breeze on my laptop, it creates a great blend of 3D design from late 2000s (Aero / Windows Vista & 7) and flatter UI from 2010s (Metro / Windows 8 & 10)
Here are my settings:
* Colors: Breeze classic
* Application Style: Oxygen
* Plasma Style: Breeze. I'd use Oxygen but it is dark theme only
* Window Style: Breeze
* Icons: Breeze
* Cursor: Oxygen White
Accent color is a bright shade of pink but shouldn't matter on the overall look

We are investing in KDE because it is one of the two major desktop environments used across Linux and plays a key role in how millions of people experience open technology
Maybe then support both?

Anyway, this is great news for KDE, happy for them!
KDE is based on Germany, perhaps that is why KDE got the priority.

EDIT: KDE e.v. is based on Germany
