Linux share on Steam hits highest peak in years thanks to Steam Deck

Quoting: PenglingMan, that's so weird to me - I've got Steam installed on three machines, and I've never had the survey at all! I'm a relatively recent Steam user though (my account's not even a year old yet)
I also didn't have the survey for a few months and the got it literally every time in a short period. I am one of the few who got the survey on a non-Deck device running SteamOS (winesapOS to be exact) which are %0.01 of Linux users.

The glorious return of Windows 7
Windows 7 64 bit
3.01% +0.60%

Which is obviously caused by
Simplified Chinese
24.75% +2.50%

They can't get rid of the legacy
Also the increase of the Chinese hasn't stopped the increase of Linux gamers.

If you limit the survey to Windows only and list the GPUs, you will see that there are GPUs with <%0.01 share and the Steam Deck GPU is not listed.

On Linux Steam Deck GPU has %7.57 usage, which is roughly %0.07 of total.

So few people have gone the Windows route...

Quoting: PhiladelphusI wouldn't be surprised if it's a UI issue. Stellaris, as a newer game, has a(n experimental) UI scaling option so I could see it being playable, but I don't remember EU IV having one (though admittedly it's been a few years since I last played it).
HoI 4 has such thing but the highest ratio of scaling is limited by your resolution. And guess how much you can upscale on 1280x720?
Spoiler, click me
Upscaling is not supported on 1280x720:grin:

Quoting: mr-victoryDoes this game have EAC files at multiple locations like Fall Guys?
Yes, it does. Can someone try copying the .so file from binaries/ to installers/EasyAntiCheat and launcher/EasyAntiCheat ?

Quoting: tfkWith Fallguys I only had to copy the so file to another location and modify an ini file so it points to another executable and let both the Epic Games Store and its networking update.
Yes, I just wonder if something similar to this needs to be done for warhammer vermintide 2. I can't verify myself since I don't own the game and SteamDB is refusing to list files for me.
At least I know from SteamDB there are 2 precious .so files in "binaries" depot.

Quoting: Liam DaweBeing Linux Native has very little really to do with if it's properly workable on Deck.
I thought difficulties in playing due to small screen size, lack of k&m caused a bump to "playable" not "unsupported" and the reason for being unsupported is "Valve is working on adding support for this game on Steam Deck" which doesn't make any sense to me. There is probably something I don't know here.

Europa Universalis IV (Native Linux)
Unsupported
WUT
Ok, without k&m things will be difficult but plain unsupported? For Linux Native?
