"This source is may not be distributed and/or modified without expressly written permission by Ritual Entertainment, Inc."
So legally pretty sketchy.

Quoting: gbudnyI hope that is a legal thing because I don't want to see it removed:The source code was not leaked but published by Jim Dosé the co-founder of Ritual Entertainment. However it was not a FLOSS release. Every file carries this warning:
"This source is may not be distributed and/or modified without expressly written permission by Ritual Entertainment, Inc."
So legally pretty sketchy.

Edit: Looks like you need to manually convert the video files though.

Quoting: neolithDoes this also work with the original SiN? I am asking because the SiN Gold versions are not sold by GOG or Steam here in Germany, but I think I still have the original game on CD somewhere...From the FAQ [External Link]: "The files from the original Windows CD also seem to work, but haven't been thoroughly tested" - So fingers crossed?
Edit: Looks like you need to manually convert the video files though.

Quoting: neolithI wonder what else this might fix. One of the problems I have with the original Gothic is that none of the videos play properly. And that game is from 2001...Gothic uses Bink video so different problem I'm afraid.

Quoting: PlintslîchoUnfortunately, Days Gone isn't running well with regular wine (8.18). It's choppy and unplayable (AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT & Ryzen 3700X).Regular Wine as in no fsync or esync patches?

This time I bought more games than I care to admit. In my defense I was running out of adventure games and desperately needed to stock up for the winter. Now I have a cozy little nest full of point-and-clickers.
Some of my picks:
The Excavation of Hob's Barrow [External Link] - Linux native, 25% off. The biggest discount for this title so far?
Last Christmas [External Link] - 30% off, the first time I have seen this one on sale.
My bonus pick is the first Frog Detective [External Link] game (30% off, Proton). I only picked it up because it came highly recommended by some Sealand rando (and Lobster Cop wasn't available!)
