Humble Bundle has a load of simulators ready in this bundle

Quoting: GroganThe surrounding area is rural, with a lot of farms. Some bright minded exec sent shelves and shelves of Farming Simulator boxed games, yet no latest Call of Duty titles and stuff that people actually wanted.
"The game’s creator, Giants Software, estimates that as many as a quarter of its players are connected to farming in some way, and around 8-10% are full-time, professional farmers."

The game is also apparently popular among farmers just for trying out equipment before buying the real thing:

Steering wheel manager Oversteer v0.8.0 adds new hardware support

Big, big mistake in looking up the G29 on the Logitech website. I couldn't help notice that they have a new set of pedals [External Link]. Proper ones with a load cell. Well, guess that's the Christmas present for myself sorted...

The pedals was always the weakest point in the G29 package and even though these are the "pro" stuff there's an adapter available for the G-series. Pretty impressive for an eight year old product range.

Seems like the adapter got a serial connection just like the old pedals so I hope drivers wouldn't be a problem?

Quoting: JpxeI don't have a steering wheel. What's a good option that's not to expensive, maybe second hand?
I would think the Logitech G29 (preferably with the new-lg4ff [External Link] driver.

It's been around since 2015 so should be plenty of second hand units around.

Quoting: LachuWhy option to use dedicated GPU are added? Games like that should not need many GPU power, is not?
It's just a simple one-liner added to the .desktop file, so why not?

Microsoft completes takeover of Activision Blizzard as UK CMA approves new deal

You can still download it directly from Blizzard. But you need Battle.net (an account and the software).

I don't think it was offered in any other form, even back in 2017?

Wine 8.18 brings more Wayland work

Quoting: GroganI'll keep testing. I don't know enough about wine debugging to report it. I'm not getting anything I understand (just the usual invalid page fault crap and a bunch of meaningless offsets etc. without debugging tools). Yes, we know, my game crashed :-)

We may see a Steam Deck refresh with WiFi 6E

Quoting: MarlockThanks!
I've tried finding out how good or bad linux support is for that chip but found nothing...

...so I'm probably being as blind in that task as I was finding out which chip it is, LOL
Unless I'm reading this wrong, that chip in turn uses the Qualcomm QCA206x Wi-Fi 6E chip [External Link].

Annoyingly I can't find anything about Linux support for that one either...
