It's related to WebGL so I'm guessing a security issue in a browser, that's about to be disclosed?

Quoting: redneckdrowThis seems to be the fix for the confidential bug:Confidential issue #12092What? I switched to AMD specifically to use drivers that offer a first-class FOSS experience, and to avoid this kind of vague chicanery.
Part of the point of FOSS is, you know, being open about issues! I get paranoid about this crap ever since I first started reading the likes of Brian Krebs and Bruce Schneier years ago.

The game had a feature called RealSound (tm) which made it possible to play digitized audio samples, like speech, using the PC speaker. The cable in the picture was the suggested way to improve audio quality and volume.
Not sure if RealSound was used in any other games.

Among other things I've played and quite enjoyed the old Renegade Ops [External Link]. It was only very recently made playable (without needing workarounds) with Proton Experimental.
It's still listed as Unsupported but I hope it will be re-evaluated soon as it runs great!

Quoting: ElectricPrismYeah No. Unreal Engine is a deal breaker because Source Games have details that are mathematically authentically Valve suchas the lighting flicker interval and variations, mathematical interval variations of electrical shocks, sounds, and other content."While the code was indeed used in many Valve games, it actually predates the company. The flickering light effect was likely written by none other than John Carmack for “Quake” in 1996. That was part of a library of flickering presets compiled by John Romero in 1993 while working on “DoomED”:"

Quoting: PhlebiacWikipedia doesn't provide any background info, but the developer and the publisher are one and the same. Perhaps Agustin had a falling out with Alejandro; wouldn't be the first time game IP was the victim of feuding founders.Dang, if true, that would be very sad
