Last Epoch drops the Native Linux version, devs tell players to use Proton

But its a native port by any other name. With the same problems. You need active developer support, you have two versions to keep up to date, you need to manage dependencies etc.

Quoting: HighballEdit: Back in the day, WINE released a libwine library for Windows applications. If you programmed with libwine that would make your program compatible with Linux using WINE. I don't know how much use it got or if it ever got any traction. But, I've said this before, Valve should be developing a libproton library. Or at the very least investing in libwine and promoting that. Future games starting with libproton and Vulkan would be 100% compatible with Linux at that point and use 1:1 translations just like WoW64 does for older Windows programs and games.I think Winelib is still a thing, at least the user guide [External Link] looks up to date?

Quoting: PenglingI'm surprised this was approved, considering that there's prior-art - the 1994 SNES RPG Robotrek featured robots who were kept in capsules and sent out into battle, for example. Not a lawyer, but as far as I know, the only prior art searches done by the patent office before approval is by looking at current/pending/prior patents.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyYou know, 20, maybe even 10 years ago I might have gotten into this. But these days I just wouldn't have the heart--not that I think nobody should be making such games, but for me personally, even pretending to be an oil producer would just make me itch.Terra Nil [External Link] might be more to your liking.

Quoting: dziadulewiczPs. someone apparently put a larger rock in advance of Kalle Rovanpera's stint to a inner turn at Rally Finland? He was (again) driving to an overwhelming victory. No way a rock of that size would have just "jumped there"You're saying Kalle's shunt might have been caused by a user of Windows?
Edit: it's said that few locals don't like the rally going next to their house windows?
