I'd wish them to form a company on their own. They already know eachother and they have all the knowlege of "how to not do it".

Quoting: TheRiddickGovernments needs to force them to include a Offline and/or peer2peer connection mode that is independent of the always online component.
Hmm... Those would be extra "effort" to build. I would suggest at a minimum, when you shut down your forced online server, hand it out, so the community could host their own.

IMHO, I'd not even bother to finance a manufacturer/vendor not using Linux.

They'd notice it being sold, but not running ChimeraOS instantly afterwards - maybe a call to Steam or ChimeraOS (or both) to support options to make it more obvious/visible to the manufacturer?
Maybe via Steam hardware survey or a "statistics option" in the e.g. ChimeraOS setup, to report the usage of a proper OS, (or a kind call to action after the setup/first launch to make the manufacturer aware)?

Quoting: damarrinMy upgrade 2 days ago went well, if that helps any. :-) After the previous Gnome version I thought it couldn't get any more like macOS, but I was wrong and it's now ripping Apple off 99% instead of the 98% from 6 months ago. Not that I'm complaining, I like the barebonesness of both it and macOS.

I'm still not as familiar with Fedora as I am with the apt-based systems I've been using for years, but I'm getting there and the new knowledge and experience can only do me good.
It's quite usual to get inspired by stuff of others in the usability field. It's quite ok, so in the end, everyone profits from the advances and users can use familiar usability-patterns across devices/systems.
