One more thing : while it's great to have platforms listed as "STEAM - WIN / MAC / LINUX" under the names, Windows is still listed in multiple places as "PC". That's not really inconvenient, just annoying.
Oh, and Linux games such as this one [External Link] or that one [External Link] (probably every one) need a Linux icon near the others, too :)
Thank you for supporting us, Linux gamers !
Quoting: MayeulCThanks! Yes, we're aware of the issue with that. We have set up a collection page for games that are multi-platform which might help in the short-term - http://www.bundlestars.com/collections/pc-mac-linux [External Link]Thank you for the link.

Purchased. Such bundles with Linux games are great, I miss the humble indie bundles :(
Even their store has some good offers : 85-90 % on FORCED is worth it IMO.
The only downsides of bundlestars are that it's difficult to filter games by OS, and they don't provide a DRM-free version of their games.

IF it's EVOLVE, I hope it will feature a splitscreen mode, every multiplayer game on SteamOS should !!!
Skyrim would be great too.
About the clue, I have no idea how to decipher it. Would the ones posting guesses mind explaining how did they do ?

Looks great ! I miss really good, old school RTS games like Starcraft or AOE II on Linux.

In my opinion, every multiplayer game should offer a splitscreen option.

Quoting: Segata SanshiroIf you look round steam, there's a lot of guides on how to do it. It's mostly just pulling up the console in-game and typing in a few commands. There's a video one here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nlp1j9u3T1Y [External Link]Thank you. Well, I will try this later, when I have access to my xbox360 controllers.
No idea why it was never made official.

How did you manage to get local co-op in left4dead ? Why isn't it official ?
7 Feb 2015 at 3:28 pm UTC
Quoting: Segata SanshiroI wish this had split-screen local co-op, I would buy it for sure then.+1, Local co-op games are a must for me.
Valve need to understand that if Steam Machines are going to compete with consoles then they need to incentivise developers to have actual multiplayer. At the moment it's just the Portal 2 missions, Left 4 Dead 2 if you tinker with it a bit and some indie games that aren't exactly going to pull people away from their Call Of Duty and FIFA.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance, A CryEngine Game Linux Version Still Happening, Not Due Until After Windows

Backed this one. It looked promising, but now I am unsure about the Linux release date...
I must admit I would rather get Crysis 1 or warhead instead of any other cryengine game.

Hey, I didn't know this game ! I will check it out, but not before an attempt to win a free key :)
First, the easy one :
The scariest moment in gaming for me was Amnesia : The dark descent, with headphones, at night, HRTF on... Well, I didn't finish this game :P
Next, my favorite thriller story ? I must say I am not really comfortable with this question, since it is not my favorite genre. I will take a light attempt with answering "Allan wake", but I didn't finish this game either, because it's Windows-only.

The Palit GeForce GTX970 Jetstream 4GB Is A Monster

It is often advised (Depending on the user's preferences) to enable v-sync, or at least limit the framerate to the monitor's refresh rate to lower your energy consumption/noise/temperature/whatever. This framerate limit is often enabled by default (at least on open source drivers).

Quoting: HamishAnd here I am still thinking of my recently acquired Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 as a massive monster, but then of course my demands are much smaller than yours... ;)Yeah, exactly the same here, I chose a 6870 (not Sapphire, though) to replace my 4850. I still get abysmal performance with radeon drivers in Serious Sam 3, though.

Quoting: Beamboomare not refresh rate and fps related? You can't get a higher frame per second than the max refresh rate of the monitor, can you?Not entirely. You can have your graphic card drawing frames faster than the monitor; that's not a problem, but can in some cases produce some tearing.
