Stop Killing Games final verified vote count for the EU petition is just under 1.3 million

A minor correction: Stop Killing Games is another entity related but not the same as the group organizing the EU initiative. They are called Stop Destroying Videogames. It's on the initiative page (which if it worked it would show the name) https://eci.ec.europa.eu/045/public/#/screen/home [External Link]

Yeah, I read that one, but didn't describe which browser they were using, if there's a list of games or it is anything that runs on proton, etc.

Is there a report about that that I can read?

Quoting: PublicNuisanceSo an employee from a company who makes a closed source game store client that hosts a closed source game that uses closed source anticheat software had an issue with an open source library and i'm supposed to side with the employee ? Do I about have that right ? Would it not be an easier issue to fix if more of that equation I listed were open source ?
It wasn't just EAC that broke but a few other applications like Shovel Knight, a game with a native linux port and libstrangle, an fps limiting library, this isn't about open vs closed source software, this is about maintaining backwards compatibility to not only make linux more enticing to port to but also to make it so things like games that do not get maintained forever won't get lost to time.
More to the point, I understand why EAC cares about the internal representation, but I don't understand the usecase of shovel knight and libstrangle. What they do with the hash table that can't be accomplished with the standard API?

Maybe I'm biased, or dumb, or too close to the source material, but I don't really understand at all the appeal of these "blue collar/service" job simulators.
Try playing "Papers, Please" then. May you discover the joys and shenaigans that every job has.

Quoting: setzer22The work Valve is doing for the Linux gaming ecosystem is undeniable, but they're acting as a for-profit corporation, and I'm afraid sooner or later their interests might start to deviate from this community. What happens then?
DeckOS or OpenDeck? Calling dibs on those names btw. We just need to move faster than what they can change mind.

Regional pricing,
Interesting, because GOG has regional pricing, Epic has regional pricing, but Steam does not. So, it benefits me to buy from GOG than Steam.

Apex Legends now broken on Steam Deck and Linux desktops (update: fixed)

Liam, you might want to update the article that they added the file again (which is deliberate, as it is the only change in the last patch), but keeping the overarching point that Deck Verified (or whatever cert program) needs to improve.

Tried native and runtime.
If you have disabled Steam overlay, it wont work. You have to have it enabled for the game and in general.
