Quoting: jensSince when do customers have to be professional ?Quoting: ShmerlDevelopers should learn how to make this optional because it's not a multiplayer only game. Seriously, it's quite unprofessional. Added another Galaxy victim to the list [External Link].I think it's quite unprofessional to call an engineer unprofessional without ever having spoken to him/her
That's the real problem with Galaxy, and not the lack of the client.
or without ever having seen a bit of code.

Makes no sense to me as the original Hammerwatch had a Linux version on GOG.

I really want to support this game but $22 seems a tad high for an early access game that is essentially from the 90's. Maybe when it's $10 CAD or I have more money to burn.

Quoting: PublicNuisanceHaving the freedom to express yourself doesn't mean freedom from criticism. How is a survival horror game in the same genre as a walking simulator ? In The Station there are no monsters to fight, no health bar, no upgrading equipment, no managing ammo, they are nothing alike. They both take place in space, that's as close as it gets.Quoting: GuestSo in conclusion as for Dead Space being "better" than The Station I say "So what ?".So it is not allowed to present a free game in the same genre. Conclusion, move to NK to restrict freedom of expression.

Quoting: GuestThe 10 years old Dead Space game looks better, is longer and it is free currently. Works fine with wine-staging, just disable the Origin client overlay and v-sync.So you have managed to not only hit the stereotype that Linux gamers won't pay money for a game but also proving that it's not needed to bring a game to Linux because they can just use Wine. Bravo. As far as comparing Dead Space to The Station they are apples and oranges. Dead Space is a survival horror game while the Station is a walking simulator. Dead Space retailed for $49.99 CAD at launch while The Station only cost me $17.49 CAD at launch. Dead Space 2 had a budget of $60 million so I am going to assume that Dead Space probably had a $10-15 million budget versus The Station which took in a Kickstarter of $15,370 which even if they had outside investment I doubt took it to the $10-15 million range. So in conclusion as for Dead Space being "better" than The Station I say "So what ?".

I broke down and bought it day 1. First time I have done that on a game since Deus Ex: Human Revolution back in 2011. Thought I may have to choose between this and Far-Out but that got delayed for a day so no choice needed.

I enjoyed the first game so I plan on buying this sequel. Hopefully we don't have to wait long until the Linux version is made. I have a huge backlog so my worry is more about what would delay the Linux version rather than not having games to play.

I really enjoyed the first Orwell and they've got a DRM free version coming to GOG. If Linux support is day 1 then so will be my purchase ! I hadn't heard anything about this sequel until last week which is strange but a nice surprise.

The GOG and Steam pages lack a Linux icon or requirements but if the developer themselves are saying it then hopefully it is true. Hoping the Linux version comes to GOG.
