Spec Ops: The Line Looks Like It's Coming To Linux
16 March 2015 at 1:13 pm UTC

This was a great game that I would urge any FPS fan to pickup once it hits Linux. Gameplay isn't groundbreaking but the story is awesome and it is a breath of fresh air in that it isn't your standard FPS that glorifies what's on screen.

Why Are We Still Dual Booting?

I dual boot because I have over 400 games on my backlog that aren't Linux compatible so I'd rather dual boot than use Wine.

Linux Now Has Over 1000 Titles On Steam
11 March 2015 at 12:48 pm UTC

I believe I have around 60 Linux titles in total spanning various digital distributions. I tend to stick to GOG, Indie Game Stand, Humble Store, Gamers Gate. I do have a lot in Steam from back when I used it.

President Of Blizzard Responds To The Linux Petition, Petition Owner Creates Childish Response
11 March 2015 at 12:42 pm UTC

While the petition creator had a childish response he did have a very valid point. There are around 125 million steam users at current according to Wikipedia. Now of that 1.02% are Linux as of last month. There are around 7 billion people on the planet. Are we to believe that out of that 6 800 000 000 people who don't use Steam, a good chunk of which have access to the internet, that Linux doesn't have more than 2% of that very large number ? I just find it hard to believe. There is no hard data either way. If Blizzard doesn't wish to support Linux then they should just say so. It would be better than coming up with this weird less than 2% argument that in no way can be proven.

The Entroware 'Proteus' Gaming Laptop, Reviewed For Linux
10 March 2015 at 4:36 pm UTC

I'm liking their options for sure. Not as customizable as Sager but a heck of a lot cheaper and will work for Linux for sure. I'd love to tear one apart. Sager is my cream of the crop for build quality so i'd love to see the insides of these.

Republique Remastered, A Beautiful Stealth Action Game Could Come To Linux
26 February 2015 at 4:52 pm UTC

I'm interested in the game so I would love a Linux version. Like other users here I got a Dreamfall vibe from the game which was great. I'm going to contact the developer and make it known I'd like a Linux version, I suggest you all do the same.

Speculation: Shadow Of Mordor Appears In A Seemingly Linux Focused App Bundle On SteamDB

Having a Linux version of Mordor would certainly be a great first step for me to buy their game.

Valve Will Launch Own VR Device, To Be Shown At GDC
24 February 2015 at 1:32 pm UTC

I will be picking up an Oculus Rift when it comes out if it's $300 and will do 1080P per eye and at least 60 Hz. I'd be open to Valve's VR item but either way I really hope they do VR right because it can be a huge game changer if done right. I am not a fan of the Facebook deal but I do have faith in John Carmack who has stayed onboard with the team.

The Tropico folks are a decent lot so I could be looking forward to this. I asked them about DRM free versions, we'll see what they say.
