When playing the frist one I always think that they should just redo everything.
The DLCs are just squeezing what is left to be squuezed out of the old core.

Let's hope that this new one is more flexible and the busses don't stop in the middle of the stop.

Also still hoping for multiplayer, but that seems far-fetched.

I wouldn't use it, that's why I wouldn't buy it. I just enjoy clicking on the high end options and seeing the price go up.
That said, when I was an office clerk this would have been awesome to have.

Looks like I will soon have to decide whether I actually want to collect every handheld gaming thingy that comes with linux out of the box…

I probably won't the steam deck is great. If they want to win me over they will have to make some pretty compelling arguments.

Not getting banned from playing multiplayer because someone "hacked" mojangs chat reporting system sounds like a great feature to me.

There also seems to be a significant focus on open source with minetest in general.

The steam deck is probably the only device that has work put into allowing users to make startup times slower. To me this shows that people do really care about their decks and the option to customize it.
We may see some of this excitement bring new users to linux in general. Let's hope.

For me to uninstall onboard and exclusively use the steam keyboard in desktop mode one thing needs to happen: The layout should contain all the keys an actual keyboard of that layout has, including on other layers.
A keyboard without arrow up is not suitable for desktop use.

These fixes sound nice, though I never noticed anything wrong with the things they are mentioning.
Let's hope they keep working on the keyboard!

I personally would be thankful for coverage of Embracers future plans, when they ar€ made public, hope the team has that on their radar.

All Feral is saying in that statement is that they currently don't have plans to specifically bring games that have already been released to steam deck, which is true for the vast majority of steam games for most publishers. Companies don't want to spent resources on something that probably won't make much money.

They are not saying that they won't optimize future ports for Steam Deck and they are also not saying that no game that has already been ported will ever receive attention for a better experience on the deck, there just aren't any plans for that currently.
