Team Fortress 2 also has the same problem, it takes a long time to start, to the point that it seems that the PC freezes, I hope that this patch also fix this bug

Prodeus cancels the Native Linux version, focusing on Proton compatibility (updated)

Quoting: SpykerUnfortunately this is a trend that will go on in the future.
Making native Linux games is hard especially when you have to deal with third party engine which may not handle Linux as well as Windows.
or Linux libraries... it change very frequently and break many applications, it's hard to maintain a software if you can't maintain a stable system, or avoid manipulating the userspace

Quoting: KuduzkehpanJust for clear the things, Spider-man remastered is not great. Steamplay proton wine cedega transgaming are great.
Or i will just ask is it native app for linux ? if no how non native app could be great for a linux user.
Many "native" Linux games use derivatives of Wine, there is no reason to consider a game running under Proton a bad thing.

Quoting: BeamboomI thought this game didn't run well on desktop Linux? Has that changed?
Define desktop Linux.

If it is an Nvidia gpu; it has a big perf hit.

If it is AMD gpu with RADV driver; it is fine.
It is the configuration of each user, I have an RTX 2060, GTX 1070 and a GTX 1060, and my current RX 6700 XT, and in the cases of NVIDIA there is no loss of performance if I compare it with Windows, it performs the same.

NVIDIA Vulkan Beta Driver 515.49.14 out now

Quoting: XpanderNice. Been using the 515.49.10 since it was made available and its been amazing with the DXVK's graphics pipeline library [External Link] (..AKA the Stutter free experience™)

Now installed this one, lets see how this will handle everything :P
Any specific things to do to enable the Stutter free experience™? Can I just go with Proton Experimental or GE-Proton?
I prefer Proton Experimental + Bleeding Edge , although you also have to keep in mind that if you have a Pascal GPU or earlier, you will still have some stuttering, it is well known that it has compatibility issues with Vulkan from a hardware level.

Definitely, it's the best choice for external HDD that is being used by both Linux and Windows machines.
Why not use ntfs?
Not working everywhere, some devices can't read ntfs partitions.
Since kernel version 5.15 you can use NTFS without problems... and all distros have that minimum version by default.

The good thing is that in Debian we have 510 in the Experimental repos, since only 460 (470 Backports) is available in the stable version.

Long Live Debian !
