Soldat brings back memories of LAN parties in the early 2000s. I was there, Gandalf. I was there three thousand years ago.

At risk of exaggeration, the "tyranny of controller design" locks out hands together and our shoulders and arms in a certain position. Split joycons like these permit you to adopt any comfortable position you like. No shoulder or elbow strain!
I'm a little unclear what you're supposed to do with the controller bits once you pull them off. Do you stick them together? That would be weirdly narrow. Do you just use them as separate bits, one in each hand?Yes, one in each hand, rest your hands wherever: on your lap, on the back of the couch, to either side of your body, on top of your head. It's very comfortable and freeing and makes gyro mouse very simple.

Hey it has a nice trackpad! The pricing sucks. Nobody wants handhelds to go the way of cellphones towards the $2100 flagship prices. The attraction of these from the get-go was being less than half the price of a gaming laptop with better ergonomics.

Selaco = Duke Nukem? I haven't heard that one. It's just a boomer shooter created in the Doom engine.
Ion Fury may be the nearest Duke 3D.
What a wasted IP, we should have a Duke 2016 by now and instead he's just languishing in Forgotten IP Hell.

At some point AMD needed to adopt Nvidia's approach and use custom hardware in their GPUs which necessarily would crowd out older card generations.
I'm still hoping my 7900GRE will benefit from FSR4 but even if it doesn't, system-wide AFMF2 and 16gb VRAM is good enough to play most everything for the next decade unless games strictly adopt a technology that requires newer cards.

FAR Changing Tides and its sequel were very good, great on Steam Deck. Short and fun and memorable, shorter than A Short Hike maybe.
Alba of course is excellent, benign, cute, and the main photography feature very well thought out. Classic game.
Pretty good bundle actually.

I disagree, it's not about how the game plays that has Sony's knickers in a twist, it's their assertion that if an average gamer was shown screenshots of both games they may be unable to tell them apart. I have not played HZD and looking at LOM Steam page, it looks an awful lot like HZD. If I didn't already know about HZD I might mistake this game for Sony's.
Not that I really care, however: yet another Far Future Taken Over By Large Robots. I'm playing Stellar Blade and it's basically the same premise: Earth has been taken over by deranged robot alien hybrids. Nier Automata is basically the same thing. HZD introduced more hunting elements. Now LoM is like, the same premise again, even with similar font design.

It's two-fold: online games can be shut down; online games can sell MTX cosmetics to instill FOMO. These random players look way cooler than me with their glowing cosmetics or product tie-ins! Hence why we saw them in Diablo 4.
And if the game is doing great? They can keep milking the micro transactions.

There's already a DeckyLoader plugin for this, but it seems for now it's a manual plug-in install (not available yet on the plugin store). However this automates the installation of the Linux implementation of LosslessScaling, e.g. the hard part. The plugin provides your command line which you would copy and paste into the launch commands for your game.
