Quoting: GuestRolling-release or semi-rolling-release packages often cause far too many problems for end users because they release new packages without even bothering to test them ;-(

Personally, I refuse to be treated like a beta tester of buggy software solutions. If you're leaving Windows, it's not to encounter the same instability problems under Linux... ;-(
Well, openSUSE Tumbleweed is a rolling release distro and this is not true for them.
Is very common for they to delay updates for days or weeks when they detect that something is not ready.

Most of times, after some big updates for very common used things (like desktop environment, MESA, and etc.) you can find the latest version on Arch Linux and even on Fedora since the day one, but for Tumbleweed you need to wait a day or two because of the tests.

EUIV is my favorite game from all time. I waited so long for EUV.
I love EUIV and Victoria 3. I played a lot of Victoria 2, CK II, CK III and Hearts of Iron IV.
I bought the games and all DLCs, but I won't do this anymore now that they are dropping Linux support.
I'll of course play EUV, maybe from an "alternative way", maybe I'll buy if I find a great sale, but this move is very disappointing.

I remember when Amazon released Crucible. They shut the servers down on the same year of the game release.
It was a free-to-play game but with some micro transactions.
It was weird how fast they thrown everything in the trash bin.

Quoting: DeuceFIFA runs great on the steam deck :)
Yes, FIFA 22 and older. The new FIFA 23 doesn't work.

Sorry Arch (EndeavourOS), it's not working out any more and hello Fedora

Quoting: jensCool, I hope Fedora works for you, I’m more than happy with it since several years. Fedora shines with its Gnome integration (which I use), but don’t know how well the KDE integration is set up.

I do use the https://negativo17.org/ [External Link] repositories (actually just the multimedia repo that contains everything) instead of RPM-Fusion, especially the NVIDIA packages do integrate very well and keep me away from usual update headaches.
(Tbf, I always switch to nouveau for distro updates for being on the safe side)
I tried Fedora KDE spin in 2020 or 2021 and it worked great. It's very polished and stable.
My problem to not stay with Fedora was DNF. DNF for me is too slow, and I don't know if this is a problem because I live in Brazil or what... 😪

I guess I'm luck. I use Arch Linux in my work computer, update it every day, and don't have any problem. But I don't use pipewire-pulse because it causes a lot of bugs, like the one in your article. 😪
In my personal laptop (that I also use for gaming), I use openSUSE and I recommend.
It kinda make me sad that everyone forget about openSUSE and it is such a great and solid distribution. 😢
