Blizzard are delisting Warcraft I and II from GOG, so GOG adds a special discount and will keep them updated

Quoting: Linux_RocksThe remasters on Battle.net come with the originals too. So I'm not surprised that they're doing this. It's a shame, but it was a matter of when it'd happen.
Are they bundling in the DOS originals? Because if they're not those remasters do not feature the originals. The switching is limited, and what it does feature of the originals is fairly mangled.
yes and no Warcraft Orcs & Humans 1.22 Dos Warcraft 2 battle.net edition

Quoting: pb
Quoting: CaldathrasI had hoped that Microsoft buying them might signal a change in direction to Blizzard's attitude
I had never imagined a timeline where Microsoft was the least evil of all the evil companies.
No Microsoft is still the most evil company but this is getting off-topic

I got the Warcraft remastered battle chest for a good discount but I did have Warcraft 3 unforged or nonforged or insert favorite Colourful Metaphor here forged

edit 1
the version of Warcraft II on gog is the Battle.net Edition, not the dos version

Palworld dev details the patents Nintendo and The Pokemon Company are suing for
8 Nov 2024 at 7:21 pm UTC

Nintendo are like M$ microsoft a 2 bit company, that can't stand 1 bit of competition Nintendo are using software patents because Pocketpair made a better pokemon like game but the problem with there strategy shude be as clear as mario and luigi big nose if Nintendo start acting like a bad guy then the consumers are going to boycot Nintendo that will cost them more money than Nintendo you will get form this lawsuit Nintendo may also lose sales to consumers seting sail

the real question is what is Nintendo end goal to get the money IMHO thay don't deserve or to kill the competition

hi
"We also now can add, edit, or delete categories directly from the dropdown menu, which provides a more intuitive and streamlined way to organize games."

the onley change i can see with the categories is the Manage Categories this is where you can add new categories and edit categories names what dropdown menu are thay talking about

edit
looking at the What's Changed it looks like it is talking about Manage Categories and not a faster whay to add games to a Categories

"[Feature] Add option to add/edit/delete categories from categories dropdown by @arielj in #3573"

Valve COO on Epic's Tim Sweeney "you mad bro?" when launching the Epic Store
14 Mar 2024 at 7:06 pm UTC Likes: 2

imho i do not have a problem with Valve's 30% cut just looking at the different download clients steam, Epic Games Launcher, GOG galaxy, EA origin/EA app imho Valve just has the better client but i still buy games on GOG

if Tim Sweeney wants more people to use the Epic Games Launcher they are going to need to spend money to improve the client a lot and the epic exclusive's just makes me not want to spend money on the Epic Games Launcher

Snap store from Canonical (Ubuntu) hit with another crypto scam app
23 Feb 2024 at 6:35 pm UTC Likes: 1

i know a way that can fix this problem but it may be easier said than done

1. mark any snap that has been uploaded by any one that is not part of the project team or Canonical as unofficial
2. all unofficial apps need to be checked to make shore the snap dose not contain malicious code
3. all snaps need to be randomly checked to make shore the snap dose not contain malicious code

OpenAI say it would be 'impossible' to train AI without pinching copyrighted works
9 Jan 2024 at 7:06 pm UTC

hi
if you are going to let AI systems steal copyrighted content then it is also OK for the ReactOS and wine teams to use leaked windows source code to build ReactOS and wine if they did that Microsoft will DMCA strike the projects faster that you can say Microsoft

the problems with GitHub copilot is 1. AI models getting trained on source code that is source available but not open source for example the windows research kernel

2. having a project on GitHub and not having the option not to let the AI models train on there project but who gets the final decision the project lead or is it like trying to change the license of a project where you need most of the contributors to agree to the license change
