Are you having black trees in-game? I just bought it and it's annoying me a great deal, I think it's going to be a refund.

Neverwinter Nights Enhanced Edition is coming from Beamdog, Linux support confirmed

OK, I've found back the open source tools for Neverwinter Nights, and they run on Linux:
neveredit [External Link]
Contains both neveredit and neverscript, it seems they don't do as much as the Aurora toolset does, though.

That's great news! I hope this means we'll be able to get an enhanced NWN 2 some day as well!
Also about the expansions, I saw a trailer which said the game combined all the content of the Diamond Edition.
And if the game is mod compatible, you can pick one of the original editors for the game. At the time i had an open source editor on the Mac, but I can't remember it's name...

Quoting: EikeNow this is wild and crazy. Just when AMD attacked them on the CPU front...
Indeed. I wonder what lead them to this deal.
Ofc, this will get AMD some money but waters out the
significant advance when it comes CPU+GPU package domain.
Doesn't look clever to me but I hope they know what they're doing.
It became possible because Radeon Technologies Group (the graphics part of AMD) took back its decisional independence not long ago.

Quoting: omer666As usual, the Linux port seems to be bottlenecked, which can possibly translate in performances more comparable to Windows with more modest hardware, but it's not always the case.
Well, it depends. Looks like liamdawe runs into a CPU bottleneck at around 120fps when lowering the settings, so a lower end CPU will only make the comparison look worse for the Linux port. A lower end GPU however might favour Linux because the CPU bottleneck becomes less important.
Yes, it does look like it's a CPU bottleneck, but what I meant was that sometimes, things are not that obvious, so we need much more benchmarks to understand the problem.

As for the problem of CPU bottleneck in Linux games in general, that's true most of the time, indeed. That's why I got a Core i7 and "only" buy low/middle range GPUs.

Quoting: Comandante ÑoñardoI would like to see a Linux vs Windows benchmark with a more modest hardware.
As usual, the Linux port seems to be bottlenecked, which can possibly translate in performances more comparable to Windows with more modest hardware, but it's not always the case.

You also have to consider the fact that Linux drivers are usually lagging behind in terms of game-specific optimization.

Tuche -- I drive a car, hatred grows when everything is F1 physics.

Or how bout this scenario -- I play a FPS, haterid grows when attention is focused on realistic gun sounds, graphics and physics.

And this one too - I play a RPG, haterid grows when attention is focused so much on graphics that story & character arcs are just a afterthought.
How about this one:

I play bass guitar. :><: Hatred grows when I see a ukulele...

Quoting: kalinThe most ugly game in 2017. I don't give a shit if this coming to linux or not.
I am terribly sorry, but your comment is the "most stupid" I ever read on this website.

First, this game is free.

Second, graphics aren't THAT important in a game.

Third, it seems you don't know what a mod is.

Fourth, the tone is so arrogant it's just out of this world.

So, I'm sorry but I've got to say you've got it all wrong, definitely.

Entroware have unleashed Zeus, a powerful new "Ultra Mobile" Linux laptop

In the market for a pricey
No.

But I would be in for a cheap ARM laptop ultraportable, with a decent screen (slim bezels not to loose space).
I only need vim in a VT, and a couple of days of battery :)

OK, if you want to be fancy, add in links, ssh, and maybe, maybe some VNC or GUI of some kind (with a browser).

But all I personaly really need right now is a cheap, low-power portable terminal ;)
I think a Pentium-based laptop is already very power-efficient, even if it's going a bit "overkill" by your standards.
[Edit] For example an Intel Pentium N3710 is consuming 6w for 4 cores.
