The Witcher 3 was apparently never planned for Linux

Quoting: BumadarAs for it not coming to Linux, if you played it then you know how utterly brilliantly looking the game is and if you followed the release a bit then you know how much effort it cost them to even get it working probably on current gen consoles and windows, I truly doubt the 1% Linux customers will bring enough to return the investment to get it running on Linux in the same state, because if they can't get it running with the same visual effect/framerates we will all be upset and shouting at them.
I also do remember that graphics were cut down on PC for the sake of platform parity. Let them release their titles on PlayStation and never mind again about them. Really.

This is not that big of a surprise, NS2 on Linux is a crash fest, nothing ever gets fixed and they don't have a 64bit build.

I never played that game online because you don't have enough time to get more skilled: there's always an update to break it, either drivers or the game itself, I really wanted to play it and enjoy doing so, but I can't, it doesn't run often enough.

Eventually, I ended up uninstalling it, and it doesn't look like I'm going to install it again any time soon.

Quoting: Mountain ManNot a big fan of JRPGs (as Bioware once said, "Just because you put a 'J' in front if it doesn't make it an RPG." ), but more love for Linux is always a good thing.
In fairness, the Disgaea series games are better RPGs than anything BioWare has made in the past 6 years. :P
You nailed it. Just because you put maple syrup on it doesn't make Bioware's RPGs... oh wait...

The release date will be History. You know, a Tactical JRPG on Linux. Come on, that's a great victory.

I am more than pleased to see that their words are not empty, and they are already delivering at a stage in development when some others just announce that finally, their titles might not be day-1.
I am really looking forward to this, but looking at videos and considering who's behind it, I'm pretty confident we won't be disappointed.

Because you talked about it, I'd like to state that if a Sonic game is to ever come to Linux, it'll be an insta-buy, as it's the very first Sonic game on Megadrive which got me into gaming when I was merely 7.

Cities: Skylines - Natural Disasters expansion announced, mother nature is pissed

Quoting: Mountain ManSpeaking of Cities: Skylines, I wonder when they're going to get the Linux performance issues sorted out?
Performance issues are related to Unity engine. While it's getting better, progress is slow. I don't think it's Colossal Order's fault.

Planet Nomads looks incredible and it's officially coming to Linux this month

It looks really good. The HUD reminds me of Metroid Prime, and graphics, while not technically impressive, are beautiful. I hope to hear more from the devs pretty soon.
