Farm Together, a cute & chilled out farming sim will come with Linux support

Quoting: belisamaVery excited about this. No violence, no brain hurting puzzles, no dating simulation, just pretty, peaceful farming.
I'd like to dispute the "no violence" statement when "taking care of animals" is involved..

Animal agriculture inherently involvs violence. Even though it may not be depicted in this game, it still promotes animal agriculture which in real life has that violence. In Dairy [External Link], calves are ripped from their mothers shortly after birth. Most of the males will shortly be sent to be killed for veal. The females are condemned to a short life of pain and suffering, and having their babies ripped away (so we can have their milk). In the poultry industry, baby males are frequently ground up alive in a macerator [External Link].. That is all just the start.. #DairyisScary #Earthlings #Dominion #landofhopeandglory

If this game had only plant agriculture I'd be all for it, but I won't contribute to further brainwashing of the youth by the inclusion of our taking advantage of other animal species when it is not only unnecessary, but harmful to us (both health-wise and environmentally).

It looks real nice. However, its very hard to justify when I could buy a used running car for the same price..

Quoting: micha@liamdawe I noticed similar issues with the default Steam Controller touch-pad settings for some games. Maybe GamingOnLinux can step-in and provide fixed versions when you guys notices such during your review process. Would be a nice added value. :-)
Yeah, that is an added value that might justify upping a Patreon contribution..

Where The Water Tastes Like Wine has a new trailer, musician Sting to star in it

Quoting: lucifertdarkWhat a shame they had to get Sting involved, it would have been straight on my wishlist if he wasn't part of it.
What do you have against Sting? Personally, I might buy it *because* he's involved. That, plus, "Goin' where the water tastes like wine" is a prominent lyric in one of my favorite Grateful Dead songs - "Goin' Down the Road Feelin Bad" (and also "Goin' where the climate suits my clothes")..

Will you be picking up a copy when it releases for Linux?
I doubt I will upon release. I'm not sure of any game I've bought upon release... but, I will probably buy it eventually, it looks pretty cool..

This is a good thread to find windows games to add to my steam wishlist to express my desire for a port! Honestly, I've lost almost all interest in gaming through wine since there are so many native games available. Although I still support their cause, as it may make some older games easy to port.

Steam now has a form of platform-specific wishlisting, to help developers see demand

Now I just have to be careful not buy a Windows game when a Steam sale comes around and its on my wishlist..
