GOG's Installer Encryption Proving to be Difficult for Linux Users

Thats why I stopped buying games which do not support Linux by default.

or when you only want to access the game's data files to use them with an alternate game engine
And I am too lazy to do this :). If I can not install game with one ore two clicks I do not bother,

Edit:
As for the password protection I do not see any reason why they could not do with their installer whatever they want as long games stay DRM-free.

No, Final Fantasy XIII-2 Probably Isn't Coming To Linux

Quoting: HamishI know next to nothing about Final Fantasy, but I will just say that appending a 2 in front of a 13 is probably the laziest game title I have ever seen.
As I remember appending 2 to 13 or to 10 just means that game will happen in same universe as the main game happened I think every new number in final fantasy title means it is different universe. So I think it is not the laziest title :)

Quoting: liamdaweYeah, can we leave religion out of things before people get emotional about it please.
Agreed!
But closer to topic. I do not think that too may people can even see difference between Linux and Windows. I installed Linux on my mothers computer and she did not see any difference because she was using Firefox and watching videos on VLC player. If I think about it most of my relatives would not see any difference they are just going with what they have and if they have working Internet browser they do not need anything more.

Quoting: TeodosioWell I don't think anyone is going to move from GNU/Linux to Windows, so I agree that numbers can only go up. It is a bit like the issue of religion versus atheism/agnosticism: never heard of a atheist becoming a believer! :P
No I know some people who switched from Linux to windows so these numbers can wary :(

Time To Guess What Feral Interactive Are Working On, New Teaser

Quoting: AstroTell me, guys, do you really think someone may upset about XCOM: Enemy Unknown so badly? You didn't even try to understand. So why should I answer you? But I try one more time. If you don't want to understand - that's your problem, not mine.
When I bought XCOM, there wasn't any warning about 64 bit only or something like that. So, I bought the game and some DLC's, then download more than 7GB and only then I learned that XCOM has only 64 bit support. And info about it I found in one of topics. It wasn't okey at all. I spent about $10 on this game and I wouldn't have bought the game if I only knew. Should I check all topics before buying any game? Of course not.
A few games on linux don't support 32 bit. There is nothing to be upset about. I could play a windows version of XCOM if I wanted to. And despite the fact I personally don't like the whole situation with 64 bit, normally I just don't buy that sort of games. But I definitely said nothing if there was any warning. Faral deceived me and lots of other customers. I had to wrote a lot of comments before they finally agreed to change the requirements. And a lot of unpleasant comments was written. No, I don't give a hoot about someone thinks of me. They'll never be part of my life, so I don't care. But I'm talking about "friendly" linux community and just the same "friendly" linux game developers. And that's not funny at all. Just repeat that, I'm really upset not because the 32 bit support. That's it. And there is nothing more to discuss.
Yes they cheated you and now you will post at every thread how you hate them and do not want to make games for others yes? For others which is majority and which was not cheated? You can hate feral as you much can but I do not like how you want to spread your hatred to others.
