I am French and frankly I can only agree with the court decision, frankly speaking. Even though I love what Valve did for us and won't use the re-sell feature, I do thing Valve is not above laws.

Great but I hope Feral did not drop the ball with Linux. We're still waiting for Shadow of the Tomb Raider... :-(

Steam Play arrived on Linux one year ago, some thoughts

Looks like even Feral has pulled the plug if I refer to their radar. Last game was 4 months ago, and since then all the Linux title are in the "quite soon" category. :-(

Facepunch Studios confirm their plan for the Linux version of Rust, to be split from Windows & Mac

Quoting: LinuxwarperThe reason for this makes perfect sense. Linux has 1% marketshare. In my opinion, with some exceptions, making a Linux port is not worth it. Because of that I am content playing games through Proton as long as it runs well.
But if ever the time comes where Linux gains 10% marketshare, I will no longer be happy with Proton and demand native port. Because at that point developers will have little to no excuse for doing a native release, and I will consider it a big negative if developers rely on Proton.
As long as Proton works fine or whatever works fine and offers the same experience as Windows I don't care what the underlying technology is, frankly speaking. Proton is really impressive. Of course I'd prefer native ports and Proton has some limitations (especially w/ Alt-Tab unless you play in window mode) but overall it works fine.

Steam Play Proton 4.11-2 is out, upgrading DXVK and FAudio

The fix for DXVK is interesting for Dishonored 2 which was broken with 4.11-1.

The former Paradox Interactive CEO thinks "platform holders" 30% cut is "outrageous"

Steam provides a lot of network gaming for free while it is not free for them and so on. While it is true that in some cases Valve cut is expensive given all the services provided and the ability to buy keys outside of Steam it is not that much.
