Quoting: omer666Isn't Project Cars announced on Linux as well?Yeah, but it's not out yet either. Both look very promising. SuperTuxKart is getting seriously revamped at the moment as well so we will have three different racing games - a realistic racing game (Project Cars), combat racing game (Gas Guzzlers)and a party/kart racing game (SuperTuxKart) which is a lot to get excited for. For now though, not much in the genre apart from maybe the very forgettable Flashout 2.

Good to finally hear some news on this project, I was wondering what had happened to it. Lets hope they get the porting done so we can have a decent racer to play on Linux.

A Sega game on Linux :O. Is it me or is that the first big Japanese publisher/developer on Linux? Either way, it's good news to see a game from a pretty big franchise like this get ported.
Also, seems like the Empire: Total War is coming tooOK, two Sega titles then. Big ones :)

It's a real shame about The Hum. They said they would continue development anyway, but hopefully they will try again with a better campaign, more realistic goals and maybe a less intimidating currency so we can get a better game.

I still think that people like Linus and RMS deserve special recognition for their efforts though. If it weren't for Linus' kernel then we might have been left waiting for years before HURD was finished and FOSS probably wouldn't be anywhere near what it is today.

Quoting: HamishWell, and everyone else - it really is a community effort after all.For sure, the OS we know and love today has been made possible by many, many people over the years.

The Raven: Legacy of a Master Thief and Sanctum 2. When I finish The Raven, I'll either play BS5 or Reversion.
Playing the original Bioshock through wine as well after I bought the trilogy on sale for £7, going to wait for the Linux port of Infinite to play that though, but since I doubt the first one will ever be ported, may as well play that now.
Also, welcome back Liam!

This looks like a very, very promising game. Really hope they make this happen, even if the Linux port takes a while, it would be nice to play.

Some great suggestions, I will definitely try and do all of those at some point. I think I will have to find some more countries to put between the Scandinavian ones though, or it will look like a Viking invasion at GOL.

It is also the worlds most expensive country in every way, I'd steer clear.I'm not actually going to any of these countries since that would be very expensive (with the exception of Argentina) chrisq, so the prices in Norway don't affect my ability to write an article and doesn't make its games any less good. But yes, you are right, it is very expensive there (I went a few years ago), but some would consider that a price worth paying for excellent healthcare, child daycare, transport, pensions, education etc., and of course for its outstanding natural beauty.
Unless you have huge amounts of money to waste that is.
Expect to pay as much for a beer as for a full dinner inkluding drinks in other countries.
