Quoting: minidoudoes this mean they'll check the OS to prevent other distros to launch the game?
It probably won't check what distro you're running on, but support tickets from non-SteamOS users will probably go unanswered is my guess.

While I don't have a camera, I'd definitely be up for giving it a go. I've got a decent mic, a Blue Snowball. I am a relatively new PC gamer, and an even newer Linux one. Been using Linux exclusively for about two years now, but have had a Windows computer for games for about five years before that.

Saints Row 2 & 3 Are Being Ported By Virtual Programming

I'm a bit disappointed that it isn't Feral or Aspyr, but I do have to admit that they did a (mostly) good job on Bioshock Infinite. I'll give Saints Row 2 a shot since I already own it, but Saints Row 3 is, at most, a maybe right now.

I'm working on 100% completion + a small challenge for myself: Brand all the Uruk Captains and Warchiefs.

Planetary Annihilation: TITANS, A Standalone Expansion For Planetary Annihilation
20 Aug 2015 at 7:18 pm UTC

Quoting: edqeKickstarter backers made the game possible in the first place. I backed the game in Early Access and I'm more than fine that Kickstarter backers gets TITANS for free.
But if the entire point of making the price the same is to give everyone the same product, this goes entirely against that. Nobody was promised this, but it's a slap in the face that we all paid the same amount and some of us got more than others. I paid $40 to get into the Beta with Early Access. I already didn't get the soundtrack, wallpaper, or discussion community key that Kickstarter backers for the same amount paid to get. I'd be okay if some of it were DLC that everyone had to pay for, but if I paid the same amount as Kickstarter backers because the point of that price was to give everyone the same stuff, why do they get this extra stuff for free that I have to pay $13.50 for?

Quoting: camocelticWhy was this UPDATE released as a standalone expansion?
Q: Xanoxis: ummm, Do you feel Titans was a right move, and how you feel about it launch so far?

A: jables: TITANS was a good move i think. It allowed us to go farther than the original plan of PA, and we would never have been able to afford to to that with just continued updates

A tutorial is beyond the scope of the original PA? Balance changes are exclusive to Titans, too. This isn't some supermassive expansion that couldn't have been done with DLC. Hell, put everything that's just changes and the tutorial in an update, make the DLC $5 and don't give preferential treatment and I probably would've bought the DLC. They would've avoided all this bullcrap and might have gotten more than triple the people to buy the DLC, making even more money than their current discount stuff for previous owners would've gotten them.

I don't care that this costs money. I do care that I paid the same money as Kickstarter backers because we were supposed to get the same end product, then they got bonus stuff for free and now I have to pay more to get it.

Planetary Annihilation: TITANS, A Standalone Expansion For Planetary Annihilation

Anyone who supported them on Kickstarter gains access to it for free it seems, but if you purchased it afterwards you will have to buy it (at a discount too!). That makes me pretty happy, and will hopefully keep others happy too.
Nope! I supported them on Early Access, paying the same amount as some of their Kickstarter backers. Why do I get less of a product for the same amount of money when the whole purpose of it being as expensive as it was during Early Access was to make the Kickstarter backers feel like they didn't get shafted? Why am I expected to pay $13.50 more than the Kickstarter backers of the same tier when I already get less content because of how rewards on Kickstarter vs Steam Early Access works? Why was this UPDATE released as a standalone expansion? Other than the units and maps, everything new in Titans should have been provided to everyone. Tutorial? Sorry, if you want a tutorial, you're gonna have to pay up.

That's what's unacceptable: Despite the point of the high Early Access price being that everyone who paid the same got the same, the Steam users got less and are expected to pay more.

Linux Editor Mentioned On The Unity Roadmap

If, I can sum my thoughts on this up in one word, it would be this: FINALLY!

That one request has sat there at the top of the voted/wanted features for so long and had so many more votes than anything else. Glad to see we have at least some mention of whether or not they're going to work on it, and I'm even more glad that they are.

Valve Finally Have A Proper Refund Policy For Steam

FINALLY!

If only this had happened back when Steam started up. I know there are like 4 games I have that I'd have requested a refund for on Linux alone.

Dying Light Linux Performance Patch & New DLC Released
26 May 2015 at 6:22 pm UTC

Downloading the update now. If I can get a solid FPS above 50, I'm good, even if it's on the lowest settings. Of course, I won't complain if I get 60+ on max settings :P

Dying Light: The Bozak Horde DLC Releases On May 26th
24 May 2015 at 5:35 pm UTC

Quoting: GuestThis DLC is even more of a yawnfest without that patch to make the Linux version really playable especially for those on mid to low end hardware. Hope it is coming along nicely and will be released soon.
That's the big thing for me. I made the mistake of getting hyped for the game and buying before reading about the performance (Now I know from experience why not to do that), and I won't be able to stomach paying them even more money when the game I paid $60 for is still basically unplayable on my hardware (Below 30 FPS at all times on a 750 Ti with proprietary drivers, 8 GB RAM, and an FX 3650). Aren't we still waiting on mod support, too? Plus, the DLC page only lists Windows operating systems in its requirements, raising a red flag for me: When will this DLC be supported on the Linux version of the game?

Liam, seeing as how you were one of the people to get access to the beta performance patch, is there any chance you could ask them that? I'd expect the answer to be something along the lines of "After mod support is implemented", but it would be nice to know if I could play with my Windows friends before they get bored of it, should the performance patch be good enough for me to be able to play the game.
