I only play games on Steam, and all the saves go to ~/.local/share/steam

I don't see how this is a blow to indie games. DF is not the only indie game developer around, and their actions have basically no effect on any other indie developer. I don't see the point here.

I use AMD CPUs every chance I get, but AMD GPUs I have learned to avoid. I would love to go full-on AMD but the fact is, their catalyst drivers are just bad. They don't have drivers for some cards, and the drivers they do have are often very poor compared to similar NVidia models. I would love for them to spend time improving support.

I live for worlds, lore, and story lines. That's just my interest. Open world and sandboxes aren't really my thing, although I would think that people who are into that will really like this, because it looks great!

And congratulations to the dev team for actually communicating with their supporters!
