The Skullgirls Promised Linux Port Seems Iffy Again (UPDATED)
11 Sep 2014 at 7:36 pm UTC

I am not a fan of games like this so I have no dog in this race, but I have helped fund other games that promise Linux, and they have delivered. I do understand, to a point, a delay between platform releases. But over a year? no way. It's time to deliver.

Dead Island Still Looks Like It Will Come To Linux, Lots Of New Builds

I owned Dead Island on PS3, and I will buy again for Linux. It's not a "great" game but man is it fun.

Garry's Mod Hits the 6 Million Mark!
11 Sep 2014 at 7:02 pm UTC

Never has an industry fought so hard to NOT take people's money as they do in Linux computing.

Nice to see sales numbers from a real developer. I have to admit I'm amazed at just how many Windows users there still are in the world. People who say Microsoft is in trouble are fooling themselves.

I'll definitely buy Garry's Mod. Probably won't play it, but I'll buy.

DayZ Creator Expresses Interest In A Linux Port Again

Quoting: lavei like how they push linux but the idea of steam within gnu/linux is perverting the actual idea of free software.
I could not care less if my games are Free Software or not. Games are games. They aren't my office software or photo editing software that I base a business on. They're games. I play them for fun, for a temporary diversion. If I never see the code, my life will be no worse for it. There's just no reason that I can think of that I need access to the source of games. Would I complain if I had it? no. Do I require it in order to enjoy myself? no more than I require all the source files from a movie or music album when I partake of those.

I'm waiting for all of these titles to actually land. I see Linux being added in the Steam database but I want to buy and PLAY them!

Puppy Games Aren't Impressed With Linux Sales (UPDATED)
8 Sep 2014 at 8:52 pm UTC

I bought their games on Humble Bundle, counted myself as a Linux user because that's where I play the games. $12k is really not bad, given their price points and the scope of their games. But hey, hopefully more users of SteamOS will mean more sales!

Another crowdfunded game gone wrong. What a shocker.
