The Talos Principle going Fusion, Croteam dropping OpenGL & Serious Sam 4 still coming

Quoting: KonI love the Vulkan support, but I'm not too sure about dropping OpenGL and DX11 support for a 3 year old game. What about all the people on older hardware who have already bought a copy?

This is another one of those times when Steam's nature as a DRM platform rears its ugly head.
They can stick older versions into opt-in betas, it's what a lot of Steam developers do.
This is imo bad choice. I still use GPU without Vulkan support and for playing my games I don't want buying anything new -because this GPU can handle all games from my steam library, and playing in outdated game version without new stuff - this feels like abandoning users.

So if they release new games in future I'll think about it several times before I decide buy it. Because I think I can not trust them anymore. So if they release new game maybe after half year they abandon also Linux support? Nobody know...

So In my opinion this is like:

I am buying a new car. Pay the full amount. They promise me technical support and repair for free for 5 years.
After 2 years, they inform me that they are dropping the support of diesel cars (like mine), and they only support new hybrids. So the end of support for me. So this is a nasty situation for the user like now with TTP...

So as I say, they lost my trust.

A lot later than expected, but the open-world pirate RPG 'Tempest' is now in Beta for Linux

Vendetta - Curse of Raven's Cry is to get a new patch, but not for Linux

From what I remember Vendetta is not that bad game like many people think. First one Raven's Cry - have many bugs and perform on Linux very very bad and even not work on AMD GPU (NVIDA only), now with Vendetta Curse of Raven's Cry is much better and work on both hardware. Performance is still bad but similar to latest Feral ports, on Linux 40% worse than on Windows - so acceptable for most Linux users.

What I want say, many people blame developers team Reality Pump for make bad game and this is not true in my opinion. I agree first version is poor but second is much better. Also we should remember that publisher TopWare ordered development Raven's Cry to Octane Games and after some time (while time) they fail and publisher TopWare forced to end this bad game Reality Pump - they need abandon all own games like Sacrilegium. They have a very little time to fix not own game and TopWare forced it to quick release. After it they just almost bankrupt. That why I hate TopWare. They just lying about porters, publisher (they are publisher noting else), bad developers... etc... but I think this all it is TopWare fault.

Even ex employers claim that all guilty is in a German publisher. Quick info about this in original Polish source (needed google translate) http://gry.onet.pl/krakowskie-studio-reality-pump-zbankrutowalo/epd3p4 [External Link]

But worth to add many good developers from old Reality Pump get new work in newly created CD Projekt RED division in this same city - Kraków and also in new company like 11 Bit studios or Bloober Team (Layers of Fears and Observer). So they still make a good games but under new signings.

Dota 2's big Dueling Fates update will arrive tomorrow with two new heroes and a more casual mode

Dota 2 is my favorite game for Linux. I like when icefrog adding new heroes (like previous Monkey King) but now they make too much changes into game. Too much completely reworked heroes, skill or items...
I spend a lot of times to learn Dota mechanic after 7.0X patch and look like I waste this time because they change a lot again. So learn Dota again :/

I think more request have The Witcher 3 or Skyrim... so in my opinion this "popular demand" is not exactly true.

Very good point.
Look like this is true. Just look at Steam store. All previous Aspyr ports have marked two developers - one for Windows version and second Aspyr for LInux/Mac. But now with Observer as developer we have only Bloober Team and Aspyr only as publisher. Thats why I think about inouse port.

I hope... anyway it would be strange if you do not get to Poland game a Polish language.
So don't screw up Aspyr like before...
Not so weird...
Scratches came to my mind. Is an Argentinian game that is not available in spanish.
Is ok if windows version is not available in this language but if main game for Windows have all language for example support 10 language version but Linux version only 3. See?
