Arma 3 Linux port updated to Arma 1.64

Quoting: BdMdesigNLol the Windows Version is on 1.66. So the Linux Version is behind the Windows Version again.

No Launcher - the game's own launcher is not available.
No Advanced Flight Model - helicopter simulation via RotorLib is not available.

WTF. What are VP doing?
VP fills only contracted services. So this is question for Bohemia not for VP. VP make great job, performance is on pair with Windows version and this is nice :D
Also how VP can make day 0 patch release? If Bohemia today release patch and now VP starting working on it so this take some time and again we get delay. I not blame VP but Bohemia, they should starting support Linux officialy not as experiment. And we still not have guarantee that the current patch will not be the last ...

Civ VI Steam forum mods banning users for expressing Linux support

Quoting: DamonLinuxPLSome times ago I get ban on CIV V steam forum because Im askinig about next patch and adding missing in Linux version additions language like Polish. Windows version have it all but Linux not. And Im asking about adding it and I added that even pirates are a better, because on torrents is a modified version on CIV5 for Linux with adds support for new languages like Polish and Russian - in the meantime the person who paid for the game (like me) have restrictions on Linux platform (on Windows is fine) for this words I got ban :D http://imgur.com/a/2nmaa [External Link]

Probably because your post was construed as advocating piracy.
If I buy product I want get full quality product - not semiquality.
I pay full price for CIV5 on Steam because I want support ASPYR directly, although I could save money, and buy CIV 5 in local Polish store for a few cents. But I pay for it full price on steam and buy it with all dlc. So I should get full qutality game like get Windows players. Yes? So why not get it? Because developer not want or not can. Not can probably not because as You can see, russian pirates can implement additions language from Windows version into Linux. So why? Because developer not want? or not have time? Then they should say - look, we do not have time for this. But no...

It like DRM denuvo. If you buy game with it. Probably you get worse performance and few other issues and pirates? If they crack it, they not pay any cents for game and get it with no DRM and probably better performance. So they have better quality.

I've never been an advocate of piracy. I'm not going to be. This is badly. But if pirates can in one day add the missing languages to the game, and the developer of the Linux version in a few years not. It's probably something is wrong.

So if future ports for Linux from Aspyr will be of poor quality, to be honest, that sooner consider buying a cheap key in a Polish local store, eg. from CD Projekt on cdp.pl than Steam. Because paying the full amount on Steam for a product that is worse in quality to the product for Windows or even a pirate version for Linux is a complete misunderstanding.

Especially if in my country on Steam I have to pay in euros and one euro costs 4.4 PLN. What gives 39 euro = 172 PLN. For the price you can buy in my country at least three good games in the form of a key Steam. Paying that amount is not cost effective especially when in the country minimum wage is 1,286 PLN and the price of the game is 172 PLN. To lot ... So as you can see, support developer who simply abandoned you, it's not worth.

I can understand developer - they not have time, they can't talk about future patch and etc but not moderators who banned for saying something true.

Valve announce Dota 2 - 7.00, a massive update that changes everything
12 Dec 2016 at 11:09 am UTC Likes: 1

When? From Yesterday is on Test client and today should be push to main client.

Quoting: kalinwhen this update will be alive ?
Quoting: GuestIs Vulkan default?
Probably not. Many of the hardware is unable to run vulkan including my own (gtx 560 ti)
For now on most hardware Vulkan on Dota2 working worse than in OpenGL or DirectX. I hope to see OpenGL or Vulkan enabled for Windows users default in future but not too soon.

Also new Patch in test client gives much worse FPS on all platform, maybe when hit today to stable branch Valve fix it - i hope so.

Also new HUD is not more thrid party middleware from Autodesk Scaleform but now is Valve Panorama!

But for now Im sceptic to this new patch, maybe I change my mind after some games but for NO.

Going back to HON for now.

PS. 13th Heroes of Newerth gets patch 4.0!

It looks like more classic Topware Interactive games are coming to Linux

Quoting: LeopardAlthough they're not top notch games, that's an example how Linux gaming can improve.

For example:Witcher 1 needs that kind of Wine port.Simple, install with one click.

We need much more old games with Wine ports. There is no need for old stuff OpenGL native port.
If someone ever port The Witcher 1 to Linux - this should be native port. Because game use old Aurora Engine and this engine have support for Linux and OpenGL API. CD Projekt RED change in engine rendering part, so I think if any middlewara is not a problem, they should make it native. But this is only my hope.
