Quoting: TheRiddickheard the game runs quite a bit better with proton vs native. Wish they move to vulkan in a future update.
Rather unlikely. DL is a finished game and the updates will end with releasing Dying Light 2.

Also about performance navive vs proton. Well it it OpenGL game... In my case it works well. In pair with windows version but some people report worse performance.
But still this is very good, if game this Linux game perform with 80% FPS from Windows. Many Linux games perform much worse. Just look at older Feral port, where you can expect 50% FPS from Windows.

Quoting: Sputnik_tr_02And yet there is still no regional pricing.

Ziggurat costs half on Steam at full price than 50% off on Gog for me for example.
Regional price is available but not for all country.

Quoting: 14This is exciting. And, to be honest, I'm happy that they are in Steam now. Downloading the full game for every little update is simply inefficient. Steam really helps that. *glares at SuperTuxKart*
That's why exist delta RPM :) (not sure if exist something similar on deb front) Ofc not all distros use it but some like Fedora or SUSE. It download only parts that was changed. So not 500 MB but just 100 MB or similar value.

Quoting: GuestI just played this game a day before the Update (native linux version), performance was awful on Mint 19.2, However, I installed the game via proton and it runs flawlessly, but I don't know if this new version fix the performance issue.

It stillgood to see Dying Light getting new content even after the Dying Ligh 2 gameplay trailer! (I hope Dying light 2 will be coming to linux tho!)
Like most games in OpenGL. For example, I play with Proton in 90% of games from Feral because pseudo-native ones work with very poor performance and graphics issue and don't offer multiplayer with Windows users. While Proton works great and I can play multi with my Windows friends.

Based on the classic FPS Warsow, the new Warfork is now live in Early Access
19 Aug 2019 at 11:48 am UTC

Warsow is not a dead. Last beta 2.5 was release 6 days ago. Previous beta 2.4 - 24 days ago. Is is still under development and devs want release it on Steam but first they need finish some features.

In the meantime someone made a fork and decided that throw their code, their work into steam earlier...
I am not a fan of such work ...

It was great for me for the first two weeks. Now bores me.
You can also see a slight decrease in the number of players. A slight decline, but nevertheless recently played at the top of day about 90 thousand players. Now it's 60 thousand.

Video recording and livestreaming software OBS Studio has released 23.2.0

still need to figure out how to set the version number correctly when compiling…
@Liam, to set correct version in OBS you need enter one command into cmake. It depends on how you compile OBS.

In OpenMandriva, I did it this way.
Below is our spec repository for Mandriva Automated Build Farm (ABF), see the line 196.

https://github.com/OpenMandrivaAssociation/obs-studio/blob/master/obs-studio.spec#L196 [External Link]

%cmake -DUNIX_STRUCTURE=1 \
        -DOBS_MULTIARCH_SUFFIX=$(echo %{_lib} |sed -e 's,^lib,,') \
        -DOBS_VERSION_OVERRIDE="%{version}" \
        -G Ninja
%ninja_build

where -DOBS_VERSION_OVERRIDE="%{version}" \
indicates what version will be displayed.
We added macro "%{version}" which reads version number which we entered in line numer 15.
So you need add to cmake something similar for example -DOBS_VERSION_OVERRIDE="23.2.0"
and should be ok.
