Quoting: xxxmoscoxxxThe shutdown of "switch emulators" is sad, but it's justified. There's no need to emulate current gen platforms: you can buy a game and actually play on real hardware. When the Switch will be discontinued, there won't be any emulators left.
Emulation is for preservation.
When the Switch will be discontinued, emulators will come in handy.

Quoting: CatKillerI did really enjoy the Shadowrun games on the Deck, so I'd recommend picking those up to anyone that's interested. The individual games are in the sale but the trilogy bundle hasn't had that discount applied and so works out more expensive than getting the games separately.Oh, I should give them a try then. I've gotten two of them in a bundle I think, but I've never looked into them let alone on the Deck.

That's a shame. I was quite happy to hear that titles are getting ported, especially because I really want to play Ghost of Tsushima... but I am not going to get any ports if it means that I have to put up with another account.

Quoting: SakuretsuA totally unnecessary Remaster + mandatory PSN account linking = No, thanks. It seems like all the games coming from PS are going to have the stupid account linking...

Quoting: StellaWhat is there to remaster? [...]Well, it would be nice if they'd remove the phone-home-feature and their atrocious data collecting policy. Not getting my hopes up though...

I too have never played the original, even though I own the game on GOG. I see it getting praised so often, so maybe I really should take a look at it some time.

Quoting: JarmerTo me there seems to be just a fundamental misunderstanding from the gnome team about the dimension of ... a screen. You know. The thing you use this software on. I have NEVER understood it. I simply can never use it because of this. [...]That is one of the things that distub me the most about GNOME – it seems hellbent on wasting my screenspace.

I have gotten the games with some bundle ages ago, I think – but I've never gotten around to play them. Do they still hold up today?

Quoting: dziadulewicz[...] I'm sure you have noticed how fast "empires" can come down nowadays in entertainment (Star Wars is in nothing short of trouble in TV-series and games alike canceled seasons and new game don't sell). [...]Well, in the case of Star Wars it helped that the powers that be seem hellbent on trying to destroy what came before. The whole "the extended universe isn't canon and we are changing established stories" was not a good move IMHO.
