As mentioned AMD GPUs are NOT supported on this game however I know there are a number of users who are more technically minded and are running the latest git versions of Mesa so this post is for you. :-) The game runs on the latest Mesa 13 release but it's not at a level where we think we can officially support it (but it's close).
Below are the more technical notes for those interested.
Basic Requirements
Mesa 13.0 ( released https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2016-November/133978.html [External Link] )
LLVM 3.9 ( released http://llvm.org/releases/3.9.0/docs/ReleaseNotes.html [External Link] )
Extra info
If compiling LLVM from trunk you'll need revision r284024 at least, otherwise you'll be labelled as llvm 4.0 by the driver yet have certain features unimplemented.
For Mesa trunk you'll want these
Hair fix: git commit e33f31d61f5e9019f8b0bac0378dfb8fd1147421
Depth of field fix: git commit aa7fe7044328039903993dde6edb32b7953ae9b0
Buffer allocation crash fix: https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2016-September/128793.html [External Link]
Shader compilation speedups: https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/mesa-dev/2016-October/131034.html [External Link]
Mesa features that'd improve Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
On disk driver shader cache (in progress) - to avoid the long load time on every launch
General driver optimisations (in progress) - The Mesa developers are now looking to optimise after reaching 4.5 compatibility
GL_ARB_bindless_texture - Allows for performance improvements

If you don't want to buy DLC or pay for microtransations you can play the main game without having to do either.

Quoting: baccilusMicrotransactions have no real effect on the main game, they are used to accelerate your progress through the "Breach mode" which is separate to the main story.Quoting: PublicNuisanceIt depends on whether you're looking for a stealth game or a shooter games (Deus Ex) or a melee combat and car game like Mad Max. Also you can beat Deus Ex in less time than Mad Max since it isn't open world so depends on what you're in the mood for.Can I enjoy Dues Ex in spite of microtransactions? They are getting lots of negative feedback on steam because of microtransactions and DLCs.

Quoting: AlveKattI have played the first Deus Ex, is there any other Deus Ex games I should play before this to get the whole story? Not on Linux but this game has a catch up video if you didn't play Human Revolution before this one.

Quoting: wleoncioMinimum Spec doesn't mean "the game runs". Minimum Specs is the minimum hardware that gives a solid enjoyable experience throughout on low settings, in many cases people can play on under spec hardware combinations but they might experience some hitching, run on super low resolution or have other issues that mean it's not of the standard that we officially support it.Quoting: liamdaweLargely depends on what cards Feral have available to test on, they won't be able to test on all cards of course. So in practice can I read "minimum requirements" as "lowest-end PC we tested on that gave acceptable performance"?
They will also probably have performance targets to hit, so they have to set the minimum to never go below that target.
Feral Interactive will be livestreaming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided on Linux at 5PM UTC on Thursday

Quoting: JahimselfIt's a shame it works this way. I wonder then how can they come up with a 1% sale if they don't even count the sales made on linux. Plus the game offer on windows is like 4times bigger. So 4times more splited than on linux. I wonder how feral, aspyr and vp can manage to live with that. If you don't come on gamingonlinux in the forum, you won't be tell that info by steam. By the way if someone could tell me, if that's right that on feral store if you don't go on the linux page, sale count as mac as well? I read that on the forum a few weeks ago. My buy may have been counted as mac :sIf you buy on a Linux machine from the Feral store it counts as Linux.

Quoting: libgradevSometimes the logo looks like a Mac but the actual platform is taken from your browser AFAIK so you should be fine.Quoting: liamdaweAwww man, now I'm a Mac gamer :.(Quoting: libgradev@edddeduck_feral Thanks for another top game - purchased through your store :)That's fine, as long as you buy it from the Linux part of their store ;)
As the keys are activated on Steam I take it there's no issue using the same email to purchase another directly from you as a gift?

1. Nobody needs to look at it ;)
2. By following the original game mapping layout it means merging in changes/updates is easier (quicker updates) and introducing bugs due to remapping is less likely (quicker development and more reliable builds).
3. It makes things like mods and tweaks more likely to work as many rely on path layouts and files names. This actual workaround where the path was mentioned is an example of the benefits of keeping all the Windows files identical.
Simply put doing it this way we have found helps make the game more reliable, adds some benefits concerning modding and allows us to focus on making the game work great not making sure we remap all the various paths and layouts for every game. :)

Quoting: cxphergmailcomThe link might look complex but:Quoting: ShmerlThere's no need to break what already works. But the beauty of symbolic links exists on Linux, so you can literally make a shortcut to that with a single letter if you wanted to./Mad Max/VFS/User/AppData/Roaming/WB Games/Mad MaxThat's quite a mess of a name. Looks like a clone from Windows version without simplifying it.
