Skyrim was on sale a while back, and it's pulled me back in this past week. Gameplay is kind of bad, but the world is vibrant and feels alive, like I'm witnessing events already in motion. Having already rounded the game when it was new, I opted to skip Whiterun and experience the world minus the dragons.

Took a bit of tinkering to get audio working properly on Linux, but thanks to a guide, now it runs perfectly.

In other news, Star Wars The Old Republic is now on Steam, finally bringing a proper WOW-style MMO to Steam. No, Ryzom, Champions of Regnum and Albion Online didn't count, they were in an entirely different league.

Thanks, this game looks really fun, can't wait to check it out.

This week I wrapped up the class storylines for Sith Inquisitor and Jedi Consular on SW:TOR. I'm quite impressed with how well that game runs now. I'm still subscribed for another week or two, then it's time to try some other games. My Steam wish list just got half as long thanks to heavy discounts.

Honestly, it bothers me when things like this are called "free". It's included. There's a price to pay to get it, so it isn't free. Sellers have a bad habit of confusing the two, media has a terrible habit of parroting the misinformation.

Star Wars: The Old Republic on Linux, runs really well and while the jedi storylines seemed a bit dull, there's a treasure trove of good storylines on other classes. Currently running a smuggler trying to chase down the bantha-breath con artist who stole my ship, while killing bounty hunters sent after me for not delivering the cargo on said ship.

NBA 2K20 on PS4, because I have the itch and my Timberwolves need another wing to pair with Okogie, Culver and Beasley. We've been losing a bunch, but now that I get more minutes, we're suddenly on a 4 game winning streak.

Star Wars: Fallen Order on PS4, it was on sale a while back, and it gives that old Jedi Academy vibe. Only on my second planet, so time will tell, but so far it's fun.

In my rather limited game time (I have two kids and for some reason, I still have a job), I've installed Star Wars The Old Republic, trying out a few of the classes. It's good fun, and I enjoy the opening stories so far. I'm undecided which class to keep levelling, but the game itself is enjoyable.

Yesterday, Star Wars Jedi: Broken Order came on sale for the PS4, so I will be getting a lot of time in the SW universe in the coming weeks.

At long last I have a real reason to update my specs, having just bought my way onto Team Red.

Translated to Nynorsk? That's excellent news to... let's see, population 5.386 million divided by 12% preferring Nynorsk to Bokmål, divided by 1.85% using Linux on their desktops, we're at roughly 12,000 divided by however many play GOG games...

That's great for that one guy who translated it!

I kid, of course, good to have it in there.

This month I resubscribed to WoW and cancelled again, too many freezes to justify the cost. Dragged a paladin through every dungeon in classic.

Tried out Hunt and Snare, and sexual furries aside, it's a fun little game by itself, I adore exploration and little secret areas. Looking forward to future builds adding a reward system for the hunting part.

Last night I got around to trying Quern, the spiritual successor to Myst. Seems well crafted with puzzles that give me resistance without completely stopping me from progressing.

Sounds nice, and it makes me realize that this is what we need done to Warcraft 3. Reforged retroactively screwed people who had the old game, now we need a community driven engine pulling assets from game discs.
