Wonder what they are going to do about the Jean-Yves issue. Maybe changed his name/likeness completely or maybe they've directly asked him about the remake.

Proton 9.0-3 now in testing to bring more game compatibility to Steam Deck / Linux

There are a lot of very obscure or little used games that you DO have to use older versions of wine/proton to get working because nobody is fixing whatever has changed to cause them to break in later versions.

That's why you need and it's good to be able to select older versions.

It's not gambling, it's just terrible "investing" in a very easily manipulated market.

Developers of these can also just generate whatever "rare" items exist in their backend on the fly.

Edit: I don't know how much "low effort" you can get than Banana.

Atari acquires Intellivision brand and over 200 games

yeah but it's not a case of someone took over their business when they died/retired, the companies died. Someone else bought the name and made new companies with it.

All the original owners of Nintendo are dead and even the people who took it over from them are all dead. It's still the same company.

A bunch of people who have nothing to do with the original company bought a company that is made of a bunch of people who have nothing to do with that original company either.

Nintendo DS emulator DraStic became free of charge after Yuzu case

I remember a time when almost all emulators were always free\no paywalls just to try and avoid an avenue of being sued.. then around the time app stores came around, people started trying to charge for them again and I guess because most didn't get any attention/problems it just continued.

Quoting: Pengling
Quoting: finaldestFor UK retailers,

You can get steam PS5 and MS gift cards in GAME stores by purchasing at the till. You get a code printed on a till receipt for the value purchased.
Alas, I'm clearly not meant to find the bloody things - all of the local branches of GAME shut up shop ages ago, too. I don't think we've even got any of the ones shuffled off into a Sports Direct store. (I honestly don't think that GAME is long for this world, at this point, but that's another matter.)

Quoting: finaldestI have seen them in some of the supermarkets also at the checkouts.
I wish I could find them, hahaha!

Quoting: HighballThat would be nice. My Sisters just buy me gift cards to Subway, the sandwich place. It really feels like a punishment at this point. If I got a Steam gift card I'd probably fall over in shock.
I think I would too, as I'm convinced that they're like Leprechauns or something.
Currys, Lidl, Argos all had them last time I looked in December.

DOSBox Staging 0.81.0 out now with new CRT shaders and lots of graphics improvements

Quoting: TactikalKittyMay I ask why? Just out of curiosity honestly. I've tried DosBox-X and it didn't seem to mesh well for me.
Emulated some obscure DOS things I own correctly and some other things more accurately in regards to sound.

I think DOSBox-X is still my preferred fork of Dosbox.
