Nvidia releases 364.16 Vulkan driver, improved Optimus support, improved multi-threaded scaling

works like a charm ^^. I cant tell if Im just "getting better" or if there drivers are less buggy.
But I'v always installed nvidia drivers via ppa. I find it less buggy and its simpler that way.
But I wanted to try it with a run file, in tty, by myself this time. And it works :O.

7 Days to Die alpha 14 released, Linux graphics broken again
27 Mar 2016 at 11:31 am UTC

Im I the only one that gets the feeling, 7 days to die will never get out of early access?
I know that building games takes ages, but I think this game has been an alpha for over 3 years now.
I dont mind if they break the game with updates, if they can make a decent fix shortly after.

Quoting: Mountain ManNot just AAA titles, we need big players like Blizzard and EA to come aboard. I would especially like to see native Linux builds of Diablo 3, Hearthstone, and Heroes of the Storm. I love what companies like Feral and Aspyr have done, and Valve, of course, but they can't do it all.
Both EA and Activision are very greedy. Don't expect them to join Linux world any time soon.
I belive Both Blizzard and EA have stated they want to support Linux.
Blizzard even hade a linux beta client for wow vanilla.

I know Blizzard is own by activision now. The thing is with this big companys. The wont Linux to be a bigger group before they start porting games, I dont see this as greede, it costs money and they want to make money. I know blizzard are insanly ritch, but still they need to make money on the port. I also think BF devs where helping out with Vulkan, I can be wrong. And Dice also recommend running there games under AMD.

It will just take sometime before we see more AAA titles, its been very short time sence SteamOs was announced and the amount of port/games we get on linux. I know it sucks to hear this, but we got to be patience just a little bit more.

And this video, proves that game under linux can run as good as they run on windows. Even better at sometimes.

How big is Linux gaming? Some estimates

Quoting: Zeloxwhen I changed destros alot I got the survey with every install.
Iv got it once or twice in windows. But I got that survey alot more in linux.
I dont know the logic behinde the apperience of the survey
What comes to my mind for the first time, sorry if it has been said a million times before...

If they use the data taken from (e. g.) you over all the months (not only in the month it has been asked for), there's no need to ask again. You'd just be in the data pool. They would only need to query again if, say, your hardware would have changed.

That said, it would make my test from post 2 meaningless. Maybe I can trigger the survey, but it would just change my recorded data, not add 1 to the Linux users counted.
Well I changed destro alot during that period. I was probably on 1 destro for 2 - 4 days before I got bored.
I dont know if my survey somehow resets and steam is able to see that Im using the same pc, but Iv only changed destro?
I dont think I added some new hardware, probably a mouse, but I dont think steam would need a survey for that?
And Im not even sure I added a mouse to my laptop. I remeber, I downloaded 4.3 kernel, cause I wanted my touchpad to work as intended.

But I dont know what trigged the survey.
