I really really want a black or purple one. But I’m also clumsy when it comes to working with hardware and software.
I’ve always learned stuff by breaking stuff, sadly.
But the guide might keep me from breaking my deck.
But I also would like more customisation.
Different colour schemes in buttons, touchpads, keypads and triggers. Hopefully we are getting there in the future ☺️

I think Valve will soon get another suing from Nintendo.
Even if Valve aren't supporting piracy, they are not doing anything about it.
And Im not supporting piracy at all, but they way Nintendo works,
If u buy a game, you have to use it on there hardware is a pretty old way of doing things.
Piracy will be a thing as long as they don't release it on more platforms.
And what is a better more open and free system, but gives u about the same console feel as a switch?
The steam deck. And the pc community is pretty know for modding, changing and tweaking stuff.
So that piracy would happen was almost expected.
I don't emulate and never have done, so I don't know if there is a "legal way" to emulate.
But Im sure Nintendo is against emulating.
Just imagen Nintendo on steam, or Nintendo launcher on a pc.
Ooh well, nice to see yuzu getting some updates for there garbage collector :).

When it comes to the deck I love the ui and don’t have problems with it at all. But hopefully they can optimise the ui. The only real problem I have is the battery time

Quoting: poiuzYe I have a main gaming rig. Was thinking the deck could replace it. But after using the deck, it will not do that. Im treating the deck as a console to game in bed, on the run and in the living room for more casual sessions.Quoting: ZeloxGot mine yesterday, and I’m very happy so far what valve have done. Now we just want the official steam os release so my main gaming rig can run itDo you have a dedicated gaming PC? In my opinion, Steam OS is the weakest part of the Steam Deck (poorly optimised, especially for a touch system; in general badly implemented, e.g. the steamdeck user; I believe updates take too long) which I would never recommend for a general purpose PC.

Fresh Steam Deck and Steam desktop Beta, Valve dropping old Windows support
30 Mar 2023 at 12:43 pm UTC
And if Microsoft won’t support windows 7 why should valve 🤷🏼♂️.
And to be honest there is no reason for Microsoft to support 7 it’s old.
And I hate to say it but windows 11 has really gained on me in terms for coding.
Im forced to use it at work and there are really some thing I still hate about windows 11, but where they are aiming at atm is going to be real interesting.
Sry getting if topic here and I’m not here to preach about windows. Linux is still my nr 1 option :).

Quoting: rcritNot that I have a lot of sympathy for Windows users but dropping 7 is going to be hard pill to swallow for some. The 10/11 compatibility with some games is apparently pretty bad.Microsoft no longer supports 7 as of jan 10 2023.

We may get a Steam Controller 2, plus fun updates coming to Steam Deck

Yes! I really want another controller. Steam controller hade its flaws, but in terms of custom inputs and a game changer it was huge. If they could just make the touchpad / "thumstick" a bit more tight and the controller to feel more sturdy and less cheap its a win win for me.
