Quoting: whizseRV-GL is a modern open-source rewrite for ReVolt with Linux support. Recommended!

You're going to cost me money! I was going to pass on Re-Volt because its windows only, now I might have to pick it up!

Ooof - $33.99CDN! I like anything "Baldur's Gate", but I'm going to have to wait for a sale on this one. It's still a 20 year old game...

Quoting: GuestI highly recommend this game, it works very smooth on my 4-year-old laptop

Works very smoothly on my 9-year old laptop (Sandy Bridge i7-3615)!

Great game, and great developer.

Quoting: torkel104I just found out about this dev's anti-consumer practices which made me lose all interest in this game

Are you referring to the fact that GeForce Now put Hinterland's game up on their platform without a written agreement? I guess, technically, you can say it's "anti-consumer". But Nvidia were in the wrong here, not Hinterland. This would be like Netflix just putting a Disney film on their service and then people getting mad at Disney when they pull it. Sure, get mad, I guess, but this is how consumerism works, obviously.

How were Nvidia in the wrong here, though?

How weren't they? They didn't have permission.

Full kudo's to Hinterland here. They committed to maintaining the game at GOG, in spite of the fact that they no longer sell it on GOG. I got the V1.98 release from GOG today!

GOG used to be my go-to for old Windows games that were never coming to Linux. It was easier to run them with WINE versus having a Windows Steam client running in WINE.

Proton changed that. It's generally easier now to have them in Steam.

I wonder if I'll still get this on GOG. They committed to keeping it up to date on GOG, even though they've chosen to not sell it there anymore. So far they've done pretty good.

My first purchase was Torchlight, back in 2009. I had already purchased it direct from Runic, but I was having trouble getting it working in WINE. Someone suggested that the Steam version would be easier. They were right. I later purchased it a third time from Humble to get a native version.

That's a pause for me. I own 2 of the 3 Linux games, and the one I'm missing, Framed, is pretty inexpensive, so I should be able to pick it up on sale for less than a month of Choice.
