That's why alien exists to convert RPM to Deb.
Arch is tar.xz and Arch AUR installs both RPM and DEB when someone writes a wrapper around something like XMind.deb - the important part is that Pacman knows which files have been added to the root file tree incase it needs to remove the package.
Actually PPA/Launchpad hell is one major reason I left debian based distros, PPAs destabilized my system nearly half a dozen times.

Quoting: aLThis question confuses me. Both .deb and .rpm are both zipped files and vary slightly different.Quoting: BdMdesigNOn the Linuxside, why not only .deb and .rpm based Destributions? This is too broad to even make sense. going further... what is arch? rpm or deb?

Words of warning, I bought a pair of Corsair VOID RGB headsets, [External Link] of course it was USB / RF
They only half worked and half froze Gnome , definitely do some research to make sure Linux is compatible before throwing down.
Some headsets have aux backup in addition to rf or bluetooth, I think those are a good thing to look for.
Last I looked these were interesting as they had analog, bluetooth and some sort of built in mic.
Sony MDRXB950BT/B Extra Bass Bluetooth Headset [External Link]
I dunno if the Mic is too good, but the thing that put me off was after owning Sol Republic I wish all headphones were as indestructible as Sol Republic
Skip Ahead to the bendy parts.

I hooked it up with a Magnetic Mod Mic and it works pretty good although having 1 cable is still a little annoying, but I guess I buy stuff like I use Linux - I like 1 point of failure, it seems like when a device like a All In One Printer, Scanner, Fax is together that 1 part of the unit never works right and if 1 area breaks the whole thing breaks.
I guess what's why Sol Republic is nice with Mod Mic imo. They have Bluetooth Tracks Air too with backup analog, so thats cool.

Steam Machines on the other hand have been out for 3 months? And have amassed [1,508 games](https://steamdb.info/linux/ [External Link]).
Also, Ouya is Android right? Meaning using Archon we could probably play and run any APK on SteamOS for OUYA or Android that we could get our hands on.
$ archon-exec my-game.apk
(Bundle in a game-icon.png, launch-my-game.sh and a .desktop launcher and you can add it to Steam Big Picture)
I used my Chrome Developer Console to get the URL of the Photoshop for Android APK and pulled it down with wget and booted it in Archon just fine.

Quoting: PicoboomI wonder. Has anyone seen the how many Linux gamers there are vs. Ouya gamers? I can't stop thinking, "Ouya? We lost out to Ouya?"What? Ouya has [1177 games](https://www.ouya.tv/games/ [External Link]) after 3 years being released.

Cool. Personally, the X1 controller feels cheaper than X360 - the giant letters on the buttons that fade off with use feels cheap to me.
I think the general public will be surprised and like this very much though since 4 X1 controllers run you at least $200 and not all prefer the current Steam Controller current version.

Wasn't Rome II pushed out a bit early and had major issues? Has that changed? or was that another Rome game.
