I played this a few hours after it was discovered to be working and had a ton of fun with it. Initially I was getting a few crashes on startup and then mid game, but it disappeared after a few tries. I also think there's a workaround to gettting DLSS enabled as by default FSR is the only option.
The game is pretty spartan in how many mechanics it throws at you which I appreciate. 3 classes, a handful of weapons for each, and off you go. It works really well if you want something super competitive but also something quick to play for 15 minutes.
Unfortunately I let online games completely consume me so I had to uninstall it, but major props to the Devs for sticking true with what they said. I remember several discord messages where they claimed to want to enable Linux support, and it looks like they did it, though the silence is a bit weird. Perhaps it's a test of sorts.

I'm surprised Counter Strike 2 is even on there at all. From what I've seen, at best you're getting 40fps, and it doesn't seem like the type of game you'd want to compromise on when it comes to frame rate.
I contributed heavily to Elden Ring this year, though I've since moved on to Baldur's Gate 3, and that demanded I finally sort my home network out so I can stream it from my PC. Elden Ring is definitely playable natively, but it will be nice to go back to it at some point streaming it from my PC.

I was playing Dicey Dungeons on my phone a few months ago and I found the differences between classes really impressive. Each one totally changes the way you play the game, their mechanics often feel like mini games within themselves.
Didn't get very far though outside the starting character. Each one is progressively more complex than the next and the game was whooping my arse. Highly recommend it though.

Quoting: suchOops, yeah, got my post rock bands mixed up.Quoting: GetBeanedIt looks lovely. I'm really pleased with how No Man's Sky turned out, but I've always been more of a fantasy guy than sci fi.Did you mean 65daysofstatic (and not quite even then), or did I miss something?
Shame about alt-J though lol. Explosions in the Sky did a wonderful job on the NMS ost.

Quoting: Mountain ManI've never understood why refresh rate and frame rate were separate settings.Weirdly, after the Deck actually launched, it felt like a new update hit every week. Substantial updates too. But since they absolutely borked an update just before Christmas, it's been glacially slow ever since. Not that I really mind; the Deck is in a great spot, but it does feel like we've been waiting for this update forever.
But, man, this update is a long time coming. Of course Valve has never been one to rush development.

I think Turtle Rock dropped support for Back 4 Blood this year, but if there's still players I'd recommend giving it a go. It's Left 4 Dead adjacent, but really not the same thing. Back 4 Blood has a more "modern" touch, for better or for worse, especially with the card system, which I thought was neat, but understandably put some people off it.
Ultimately, the gunplay felt punchy, the enemies fun to fight, and the aforementioned card system allowed for a fair bit of variety in runs. It doesn't have anywhere near the charm of Left 4 Dead (the survivors range from dull stock characters to iritating stereotypes), but I still had a lot of fun with it.

I couldn't get into this. I've tried quite a few autobattlers and the only one I could ever get into was Clash Mini, and I think that might've been because the strategy element to it is so upfront and obvious. Playing this, I just felt like I wasn't really doing anything.
I'm looking forward to Mega Crit's next game though. I've been playing Slay the Spire like crazy the last few weeks, it gets better every time I return to it.
Still never beat the game with the Watcher though lol.

I don't hear people talk about using gyro as a desktop cursor very much but I find if a device lacks touchpads, it can do a pretty good job. When I have my Deck docked, my 8BitDo Ultimate is set to gyro always on so I can navigate the desktop if needed.

It's got good reviews, but I can't shake just how similar it looks to A Short Hike, which was admittedly great, but I'm not sure I'd want to experience something extremely similar to it.
