Hmh, they’ve obviously been inspired greatly by the Thief games. ;-) Looks good nonetheless. I’ll keep an eye out on this.

Must be me but I don’t find this (video) one bit scary. Only highly irritating; and absolutely meaningless. *shrug*

I'm really looking forward for Xenonauts 2. Xenonauts is a great game already and I'm excited how the sequel will develop.

Firewatch: first impressions

I'm really interested in this game. Too bad it's Steam only. I would've bought this immediately, had this been released DRM free.

Quoting: rustybroomhandleThe audience for this is not hardcore simulation enthusiasts, it's people who just want to chill for a few hours.
Quoting: dubigrasuI don't know..is just driving and listen to some good music while enjoying the view.
That sounds like me playing GTA. :-D
Seriously though, you guys do have a point there.

Quoting: LarianHey everybody,

I guess I'm just the guy who doesn't get it, so I'm reaching out to everyone on PoL to give me some perspective.

What is the appeal of these truck driving games? I was an OTR driver for 7 years all over the lower 48 states, and for the life of me I can't imagine why anyone would want to do this for fun. I'd rank it up there with (hopefully) non-existent titles such as "Factory Worker Simulator" or "McDonald's Lunchtime Rush".

Hate me if you want (and I mean this in all friendliness and good humor), but what the hell do you all see in games like this? Professional truckers everywhere want to know!
No worries mate, you're not alone. Same here. All these farming, trucking and what not simulation never caught my interest. I somehow find them too... "common", which does not mean that I don't know what a tough job some of this simulations represent. It's just that I don't find the idea of doing such a job on the computer a whole lot of fun.

Sad news indeed. I still find this game quite interesting and it would've been great to have it for Linux as well. But then again, so many great games coming to Linux these days, I don't really feel like it's a loss.

Got this game with a Humble Bundle but only installed it lately. I was really surprised and deeply impressed. Definitely one of the most interesting games I've played lately, already due to its background/story alone.

Escape from Tarkov, the new Russian Survival MMO FPS looks like it's heading to Linux

Never heard of this game before. Nice find, Liam.

At first, like others, I thought this game looks pretty similar to Metro. I was expecting some monsters or mutants to jump the player at any second. But what followed not only surprised me but really caught my interest. The gameplay looks like a lot of fun with a lot of tension.

Some very nice touches in this video already, like the aiming around corners and the seamless switching between scope and CQB/backup sights. Oh yeah, and the graphics look fantastic. But I think the sound, especially the original Russian language, is what's making this video so atmospheric.

I'll keep an eye on this.

Agatha Christie - The ABC Murders is coming to SteamOS & Linux

I'd buy this game immediately if it would get released DRM-free anywhere else than Steam.

I absolutely love the Hercule Poirot Character by Agatha Christie and The ABC Murders definitely is one of the most interesting Hercule Poirot stories.

Also, I really like the graphics of this game. It looks quite beautiful.
