Quoting: BumadarDoes this mean there is a sudden drop in simplified Chinese?
And more interesting, what cause the rise of simplified Chinese, like an opening I the great Chinese firewall or ?
It's anyone guess. Mine is that any tricks able to fool the time limitation allowed for video game per day in China is able to fool the steam tracker and so there is a significant proportion of Chinese users that are counted multiple time because of some way to fool the trackers preventing children to play more than 3 hours a week.

GNOME gets €1M funding from the Sovereign Tech Fund

A bit late to the party but I was wondering to whose sovereignity the Sovereign Tech Fund was refering. Turn up it is a fund setup by some German administrations, the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz and the Bundesagentur für Sprunginnovationen.
So I guess we need to thank Germany for this one. I'm a bit disappointed that it is not a EU initiative, the EU needs strong common policy in favor of opensource.

Quoting: GuestSorry, not in "other" ways, but in additional ways, as the old ways of them doing evil are still used by microsoft.
I haven't heard them having stopped supporting patent trolling or extorting protection money. They find way to profit from Linux through, and bloc companies that could have been more open to Free software from making thriving business with Linux by occupying a marketshare with Azure. Contrary to IBM/Red Hat, Microsoft does not contribute to Linux Desktop if you wants an example, and does not maintain a free user oriented Linux distribution based on Azure.

Quoting: hardpenguinI played it just recently and this game has not aged well 😅
Yeah, the same thing with my try. Controls, mechanics etc. Just terrible. Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 for example aged much better. Seriously.
My thoughts exactly... I thought that third-party campaigns will make it more bearable but nope.
We are 4 with exactly the same feeling. I can't believe that NWN was released only one year after ToB.
I've tried to do a run of 3rd party campaign NWN:EE with a friend after finishing BG2 but nope, we just moved to 3rd party campaign on Solasta.

I see some reader trying to make sense of not porting to Linux using a rentability computation. It makes zero sense, it will almost always be profitable to port on Linux for the extra copies sold for popular games.
But financial computation are all about RoI not profit anymore. From a RoI point of view, porting on Linux is not so interesting anymore.
Worse, assuming a marginal RoI computation, proton makes porting on Linux all the more uninteresting as there is still some copies sold on Linux with absolutely no cost.
While proton has been formidable for the Linux players it has given to company incentive on not caring about Linux.
