I see some reader trying to make sense of not porting to Linux using a rentability computation. It makes zero sense, it will almost always be profitable to port on Linux for the extra copies sold for popular games.
But financial computation are all about RoI not profit anymore. From a RoI point of view, porting on Linux is not so interesting anymore.
Worse, assuming a marginal RoI computation, proton makes porting on Linux all the more uninteresting as there is still some copies sold on Linux with absolutely no cost.
While proton has been formidable for the Linux players it has given to company incentive on not caring about Linux.

I don't understand the point of "immutable distro" wether it is immutable, wether it is a distro but from my point of view it can't be both.
We are going to have immutable OS partition with every program being in a kind of container, be it snap, appimage, flatpak and so forth., installed via some app store à la android. But there will still be distro with package manager and maintainers. Both have their use case. I know that I really loved package manager when I started using Linux and that's one of my favorite things of the Linux environment but I also respect other views not everyone wants to care about dependencies.

Nope as I'm not into sport games. But I loved Tacticon 2023 that happened just before. Small, highly specialised festival like that are really cool.

It worked also for me with an AMD GPU. I did not choose the compatibility layer so it worked with whatever is the default proton version today.

I love it so much over Civ 5. I had trouble with civ 5 mechanism being too abstract for the 3D graphics. Unciv is just perfect. Much clearer, much more readable, much faster,...

Pathfinder are cool games too but I think Solasta engine is just better.
Pathfinder is more power fantasy through.

Quoting: ArehandoroI wanted to purchase Pentiment this month, but now Solasta, Outer Worlds and Pathfinder are really calling me. Any tips/recommendations?Solasta is very cool but the second half of the main campaign is very bas as the team ran out of money. The second campaign and user's campaign are good and the engins is gorgeous.
