Pro-consumer initiatives put forward by the EU in the past have positively impacted the global market. I might live in North America, but I am definitely rooting for the EU citizens and their efforts to bring this to pass.

I'm playing on desktop Linux, not Steam Deck, but ...
Age of Mythology. I wanted to get it before the remake was released. I am rediscovering my love of RTS games.
When I'm not playing AoM, I am playing short periods of The First Templar, which I got free from GOG, to rebuild my tolerance of 3rd Person POV (1st & 3rd Person POV often triggers motion sickness for me). I rather like the game, actually.

Quoting: CatKillerPeople that are interested in computers also have no real trouble with Linux. This would be me. After MS drove me to Linux when I had to replace a failed HDD, I have positively enjoyed learning from the new experiences and challenges that Linux has brought me. I am kind of glad that their backup tool failed on the drive swap.

Tried the demo a while back. This game has a lot of charm. Love the humour! The tick is hilarious. Couldn't figure my way around the puzzles though. I eventually found myself just wandering around not sure what to do next -- even after figuring out that the experience is as different as day and night (pun intended) when you transform your character.

Don't know much about Heroic. The last time I used it, I found it limited and not terribly intuitive, with insufficient manual control of installation and setup. Perhaps that has changed now.

Quoting: GuestI don't use any launcher for more than downloading and playing.I don't even go that far. I download the offline installers for all my GOG games manually. For me, launchers that download and install games feel too much like DRM. I mostly play offline. I have little use for the social features and I can take or leave the achievements. What I do like is the playtime counter, a centralized location for launching my games, and being able to install the games in their own prefixes. Steam does that but only gives you the playtime counter if you are online and logged in. Lutris works offline - for both the playtime counter and installs - making it my preferred launcher.

For some (not suggesting this includes you), they believe it as simple as dropping the generic KDE Plasma DE on top of the Mint base and be done with it. It is not that simple. There are custom assets and tools that are needed to make it a Mint experience. Having been a Linux Mint user for 10 years now, I can tell that the Mint Team is committed to putting out a stable, consistent product amongst their 3 DEs and I, for one, appreciate that effort.
I do agree that it will be nicer to have a far more up-to-date kernel and I applaud their new kernel update strategy.

Quoting: pleasereadthemanualI really wish Mint shipped KDE as an optionI doubt that the Mint Team will ever bring KDE back into its rotation. As I understand it, the underlying development architecture of XFCE, MATE and Cinnamon has commonality, making it easier to develop Mint-specific assets for all 3 environments. KDE has gone its own way, making it too much work to maintain the common Mint experience in that environment. Hence, no Mint KDE.
