Quoting: EhvisSounds to me like you're reading too much into it. I can't get more meaning out of it than that they didn't plan on getting a last minute technical problem.
Well, if you had plans for something, why would the Twitter team say otherwise and why would they require +1's on the Steam forum for interest in it?

They could mean it the other way as I also mentioned, I'm just covering both possibilities.
I'm with Ehvis on this one, seems like they didn't plan to drop the mac and linux versions until they encountered this technical problem, at least that's my interpretation of it.

I was exited for this game from the trailer until it got released. I searched for gameplay and found out this is a mobile port, which explains many of the issues including clunky weapon switching.

Quoting: cRaZy-bisCuiTApart from the fact I really do not enjoy MMO's (I tried WOW and Guild Wars back in the days) I wonder why they still have to look like Gothic II with a few more light effects here and there.....
The problem is number of polygons. In a singleplayer game you have control over it and can optimize it to a fix number of polygons. You are in control of how many opbjects you have on your screen.

But in an MMO you can't control how many players you have on a screen. It can be one (you :)) or hundred. To solve this problem you have to work with a lower graphic quality.

Another advantage is that you have a larger potential player base available, which was one of the reasons that WoW was such an huge success. It runs smoothly on older machines too, not on high end PCs only.
And if you take into consideration the towns things get even worse due to the house decoration system, it's ridiculous. Large town scenes will drastically tank the performance.

Is this another annoying unity bug? Because shroud of the avatar also has this problem...

Quoting: 14I don't like side scrollers much, but the animation looks really good in that trailer. I'm actually a bit interested now.
It's not a side scroller. 2D yes, but you can fly in all directions to explore.
It's still viewed from a side camera so it's still a side scroller.
I get what you're saying, totally do, but side scroller is a term not usually used for games like this where you have complete freedom of direction, but in 2D. A side scrolling is generally restricted to moving one way across the screen to progress.

Not sure why you quoted me to link to that, but it basically says exactly what I did.
R-Type does this, the only difference is that you just can't go back because it's an auto scroller. Side scrolling is just a presentation technique, like isometric, not a genre.
