I remember when this was hyped up over the years leading to its release. It was supposed to be the cutting-edge of choices-matter gameplay, with dialogue that shaped every playthrough in near-infinite ways, with state-of-the-art NPC interactions. No fixed story.
From what I have seen and what I played at launch, it is not that. It is an open-world game that is not the New-Vegas-like choices matter story. Yet people seem to have forgiven it.
Perhaps it is a good game on its own merits, but too much of the criticism over the years was on the bugs at launch and not the fact that the core game was not what we were promised over through delay after delay.
I don't think I'll ever be able to stomach a playthrough. I couldn't even stomach Edgerunners despite being a huge Studio Trigger fan.

Sure, options are great, but I'll stick with ProtonUp-Qt as an avid Qt fan and who has contributed a couple features to ProtonUp-Qt in the past.

With a recent update to the app in June, it now has a page where you can view all your Steam games and individually change the Proton version used for them.ProtonUp-Qt also has this feature.
On this page there's various sorting options, you can also adjust launch options, and there's a button to go right to ProtonDB too.ProtonUp-Qt has this feature also.

Not a fan of Manjaro Linux personally, I wonder what a more "pure" Arch distro could be like on this thing.
I must resist the temptation to get one, lest it gather dust like both my Steam Decks, but my temptation for cool (and expensive) portable Linux hardware that I can tinker with for a week is hard to resist, even if I know I'll just end up back at my Desktop PC.

No Anti-Cheat. No malware. No unhinged DRM. No multiplayer. Just a game the way they're supposed to be: Singleplayer, offline.
I'll check it out after a replay of Undertale, but games like this existing restore my faith in gaming... Until another game with a multiplayer component gets popular again and ruins everything.
Huge props to Toby Fox and I wish this game every success.

Cool for developers but I am still not interested. I am Steam-first forever, and if I wanted to buy or redeem a game twice, I would do it from Itch.io or GOG (in that order). I have no interest in the free Epic Games Store games, either.
Fuck you, Epic Games. You have ruined PC gaming forever, I still struggle to enjoy games like I used to before the Epic Games Store launched.

Got sucked into this for a few hours last night. Some of the optimisation and token count that people get on the leaderboard is unbelievable, I think I'm too poor at maths to get some of the probably more elegant formulaic-type solutions. But the good news is it's fun despite that. It's honestly just fun to experiment with random solutions and see what insane patterns of shape and colour you can get from tweaking variables and comparison operators.
There are also a ton of cool details, like at the game's bootup screen it shows your actual machine specs. When you type, the game plays a mechanical keystroke sound, and you can customise the type of switch it's supposed to sound like! Since it's made with Godot it takes full advantage of the UI controls and you can do a ton of cool customisation of panel sizes and window sizes too, even minimizing them! The UI is so cool and immersive.
It's a shame they went with a custom account leaderboard instead of using Steamwork's leaderboard functionality. It also doesn't have achievements. I'm not even sure it has Cloud Saves, maybe they weren't using GodotSteam for integration? Anyway, sometimes submitting to the leaderboard or browsing the pages fails and you have to retry loading a few times.
I've been playing the Native Linux release and it works on my system without issue. So cool!
EDIT: I'd love to see this one on GOG, with the account functionality stripped out if needed.

I prepared Telegram as a replacement long ago, then when they went down the shitter, I looked to Signal as my alternative.
I don't use Discord servers or voice/video chat. I actively avoid servers and voice/video chat on all platforms. The only thing I might miss is Screenshare, which it seems Signal already supports [External Link].
Farewell, Discord. I stopped enjoying the experience in 2018, now I have a good excuse to leave.

Some reviews are flaming them for this but I think it was the best outcome if they can no longer continue development. All the best to the developer, and thank you for this decision to open-source under the MIT license no less!

Game is fairly heavy but I am running it at 4k "max" settings (FSR3 at Quality, and the the usual raytracing scam turned off). I'm getting 60fps no problem apart from at a handful of moments, mainly when exiting the sewer at the start of the game I dipped for 50fps for a good 30 seconds but it cleared up after that without a single dip.
The game could stand to be a bit more optimised, but I'm very pleased with it overall. GPU usage on my 7900XTX is around 85% with Mesa 25.0.3.
