Quoting: ElectricPrism[8 was also my favorite I still have the 4 disk set (and play it once in a while on an emulator). Of course now thanks to internet theories I can't help but think Squall dies at the end of disk one. You're the first person I randomly came across that likes 8 as much as I do.
If they remade 8 too I would trip balls. 8 is in my top 2 RPGs ever.

Quoting: GuestI see thanks.Quoting: XzylI can't seem to get the game to work sadly it keeps crashing when doing anything other than menus. This appears to be a problem for a lot of people using Mesa. Just get any crash reports you can, and email Feral with as much information as you can (mesa version, llvm version, kernel, card, etc etc etc).

I can't seem to get the game to work sadly it keeps crashing when doing anything other than menus.
Edit:
Too tired to figure out exactly what the problem is but it's not the notorious library version problems (at least not the obvious ones), it starts fine once I try and launch a race it loads (selected class, car, track) and then when I presume it would be done loading it just stops and crashes the only error message I am getting is error in the grid SH file.. which is weird to say the least... maybe after work, it's funny when you think about it. Sometimes we have to play games to play games! I got a two-for! So if anyone else runs into this problem and fixes it let me know.

Just a few criticisms, if you're interested, firstly maybe my memory is wrong but I don't remember the release of BS:I the way you do. Most people including myself (even on AMD hardware) praised the game for it's playability especially after Witcher2 had such a rocky release (that situation improved greatly too). Sure the AMD FPS cap was bad but more than playable. I don't remember many posts bitching about it being a wrapper but more impressed it was.
Second your list seems... Focused on more of a "what I like or bust" type of feel without the positives such as Dota2(reborn) launched this year and is one of the top played games on steam and plays amazing since it's engine upgrade. Yes technically not a new game but it really is with an engine upgrade and the switch to more modes than just the DOTA2 map.
One last thing about TL2, it maybe older (should be noted we got it just shortly after the MacOS port) but since it's creators were the original blizzard north team (after they were bought) and did D1 and D2, this is a top tier game that was smooth AF. I sent Runic E-Mails and pleaded on their forum to bring TL and TL2 (after it was announced) to Linux having these games made me VERY happy regardless of the initial lag. So while it may not be your cup of tea this was a milestone for my collection.
Last note I am one of those sad people waiting for D : OS as a kickstarter backer Larian really cut me but it would be nice to play it sometime.
Other than that I think your article touches on the elephant in the room. No MKX No SF4/5/anything No GTA5 No Fallout 4 we're really lacking flavor of the month top tier AA games which really hurts the platform in my opinion and sadly I don't see that problem changing anytime soon. Good work nice submission!

Quoting: subI remember the 90s when a Neo Geo was extremely expensive,Thank God arcades existed back then.... Yeah there are still a few here and there but nothing like it was.
especially the cartridges which featured extremely big memory for that time.
Far out of reach - for me. :)
That's a very nice bundle!

I didn't have any problems with the roms running too fast, actually I have tested SS2 GMotW and KoF2k and all played pretty well and responsive. I had issues with one rom glitching it's background for a split second but I would categorize it as minor since it was only once for a frame or two.
Garry Newman, developer of Rust & Garry's Mod on supporting Linux, possibly not for future games

My daughter loves Gary's Mod and it performs well even on modest hardware (Linux of course). I have heard about the performance issues with rust (across all platforms) however since it's not my cup of tea never really thought about it. I bought 2 copies of GMOD to run on Linux (full price) so while it may not be financial worth it he got at least 2 sales he wouldn't of and made a young girl very happy playing his game. If making people happy doesn't interest him then it will be reflected in his games and I hope he remembers making fun games is what it's all about otherwise you just crank out shit like EA.

This game was practically Nvidia only when on Windows thanks to game(Doesn't)works and we thought they were going to bring it to AMD hardware? Pretty sure I called this one last year.
