Quoting: emphyUnity for the user interface and store :DYeah, why on earth did they choose Unity over something more lightweight, and with a more liberal license?

Looks fun. :) Doesn't look like it will offer online co-op though, but hopefully Remote Play Together is fixed before the release.
Steam 'Remote Play Together' is now in Beta, allowing local multiplayer games over the net

I tried it with a friend today, and we couldn't get it to work at all. :( Linux to Linux. Reading this, it kind of looks like only Linux to Windows works?
EDIT: Judging by comments on this article, and this Reddit thread [External Link], it seems to only work when hosted from Linux and connected to from Windows, and sound is not sent by default.

Looks fun. Surprised they haven't mentioned it in an Infamous Machine Kickstarter update.

Quoting: EhvisYeah, I'd much rather have my own kids (6 and 9) see some silly penises running around and fighting than a lot of the stuff they're exposed to these days.Quoting: heidi.wengerSo now there possibly is one objection for that some one who would let ones child browse this site  was in favor of censorship in that threadBecause silly juvenile humour is worse than violence and horror?

^ I know, right? :D
Seriously though, Astro Golf looks pretty nice, and extra cool that it's developed on Linux.

Quoting: SalvatosDoesn't have anything to do with socialism either. With socialism, developers would get a fair price for their labour, and consumers would be entitled to a copy, but no right to profit from it. If anything, socialism would be better for indie game developers, as it would allow them a stable and dependable income, but obviously much less lucrative for AAA publishers.Quoting: pbThat's it, I'm telling my son right now to stop dreaming of developing games. This basically legalises keyshops and now even allowing you to sell the games you're already played and finished, if it wasn't bad enough before... Piracy killed Amiga gaming, socialism will kill PC gaming? Can we maybe not be so dramatic? Some of us are old enough to remember that that’s how it was for the majority of video gaming’s existence. And books, DVDs, cars, etc. Sure it would be a disruptive change, but as long as it doesn’t open the door to duplication (piracy), the market can adapt. It might not be pretty for a while, but it won’t just die like that.
Looks like Beyond a Steel Sky, the sequel to the classic Beneath a Steel Sky is coming to Linux

That term was tossed around a lot while I was active in their community in the early days.
I'm also very excited to see the sequel come to Linux, since I've played the original game a bunch of times, since I first played it on the Amiga, and I love the atmosphere of the game. I'm almost certain that I played the GOG version, but I don't remember any voice acting. It must not have made a big impression.

Quoting: ShmerlWhat is the name of this style by the way (one in the trailer)? I.e. 3D, but with comic / drawing feel to it. Telltale like using it I think. Makes it easier to skip fancy graphics effects and focus on the story more.I believe it's called cel shading: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cel_shading [External Link]
