A Golden Wake Review, Game Release Today

Quoting: aLjust to make a note, in gog seems to be a little cheaper
GOG looks a bit more expensive to me, but I'm in the Euro region. The Humble version comes with the soundtrack and the GOG version with a poster as bonus, so it also depends a bit on which bonus you prefer I guess.

Quoting: HadBabitsI haven't really bought much from GOG, since there's not much of a selection. I was hoping to see Dungeon Keeper or the Thief series, but no sight of them yet.
Do you mean these games?

Well, yes, but for Linux :P
Ah, I completely misinterpreted your post. :S: Yeah, they all run on DOSBox it seems, so they probably just need to renegotiate their distribution deals with the publishers.

Costume Quest 2 Out Today, Well In Time For Halloween
8 Oct 2014 at 9:20 pm UTC

Quoting: CheesenessBy the way, there've been a couple of reports of people having problems with audio not working. The devs are on it, but in the meantime, launching the game outside of Steam seems to help.
And as user buckysrevenge also noted on the Double Fine forums setting launch options to
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=Linux/Bin/lib %command%
also works if you use PulseAudio.

That looks pretty neat. I haven't really played an RTS since the C&C classics and the good AoE games, but this one actually looks like one I might enjoy.

Thanks for sharing. :)

Quoting: HamishI will try and get more involved again with editing and approving submissions since that should hopefully be a growth area
I think this would help a great deal since it would make it much easier for users with varying writing experience to get involved, while still maintaining a consistent quality in writing on the site.

The Black Glove - A New Daring Project Kickstarted By Some Of The Bioshock Developers

Quoting: EKRboiEDIT* on a side note... where are people finding out about linux games? I come here for that info, and if I'm possibly going to try and contribute to the site here, I'm going to need to expand where I find things.. since it's obviously too late if it's already here ;)
I use Steam Greenlight to find out about Kickstarters and follow a bunch of developers whose work I'm interested in on Twitter to hear about upcoming games.

Quoting: TealI ran into an article on the Kickstarter somewhere else, checked it out, CTRL+F found Linux on the page, there we go, a game. That's it, literally
Annoyingly Ctrl+F usually doesn't work though, since most campaigns only list platforms as images. :-/

I don't have a ton of available time either but I'll do my best to write at least an article or two per week. I have one coming up in a couple of days but it's admittedly a bit niche. This site and its community are too good to die.
