Probably more like what has become popular with YouTube Shorts and Tik Tok. For ppl with muted audio I would guess. It's pretty common over there.

NVIDIA driver 550.67 released fixes for VKD3D (Proton), Wayland and more

Did this update solve an issue you were having, or are you waiting on NVIDIA fixing something else?
It has not. I have 5 programs that flicker (the Steam client being the absolute worst) and I am starting to get really sick of it.

Explicit sync patches won't land until the 555 release, which is likely a couple months away. Once that lands, my biggest problem with Wayland will be solved, and we can move on to the second-biggest: Color Management.
Or Valve could finally move to support Wayland natively instead of relying on XWayland. That would solve the infamous flicker as well. It's super annoying nevertheless.

Steam Families announced with parental controls, no more library locking

Noice! Been wishing for this a long time too. But probably wouldn't be able to use it for long as for some reasons shared libraries randomly disappear for me without changing anything at all over and over again ... :/

You need the KDE:Frameworks Repositorie: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Frameworks/ [External Link] and the QT6 Repositorie: https://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt6/ [External Link]
Yep but those will also at times pull in Alpha and Beta releases which aren't particularly useful for a daily driver machine. I stay with Factory on my Kalpa machine.

STAR WARS: Battlefront Classic Collection announced with Steam Deck support
22 Feb 2024 at 4:46 pm UTC

Quoting: Vortex_AcheronticInteresting. Last time I tried to play BF2 classic on Deck I had to configure gamepad bindings in-game for every single action and the lack of auto aim made it a pain to play. Maybe I missed an update? O.o
Oh nevermind my dumb ass confused the deck verified for the "new" classic with the old 😅
