NVIDIA driver with Linux kernel 6.10 causing kernel oops

Interesting I am running a 6.10 Kernel (currently 6.10.5) since 6.10.0 got released and latest 555 driver and did not yet experienced any issues.
this seems to be a regression that started with Linux kernel 6.10 and it affects users when suspension mechanism is triggered or some application is processing 3DWhat does this mean? Like if I am running a game or maybe Blender and then simply put my system into standby? If so than I guess I know why I didn't ran into this issue as I never did this before.

Oh yes finally they fixed the display issue. It is so damn annoying if you want to play on a TV and have to reboot the Deck several times for it to pick up any display at all. If they also fixed the issue where all displays stay blank. External as well as internal 😅

Also Q3 Arena (not the weird Quake Live thing) would be pure dope too!

Quoting: officerniceI was curious to see how they would do Quake 3. :P Oh well, we'll see next year or if they'll do Doom 3.I am all in on this. Even though the Doom 3 BFG Edition runs pretty decent even today. Can't wait to get yet another version of D3 for my library xD

It was just recently that a friend and I played Doom split screen using the old "remastered" and disliked the weird way they added split screen. Players view was just square and there where textured bars on the left and right. If one died all their equipment was gone as well. There was a players corpse yes, but nobody could pick up their stuff. Other Pick-ups where twice, one for each player, but dieing could left all players without guns 😅
Then we remembered the remastered from nightdive and we where like: I hope they do a proper remaster of Doom as well.
And here we go, need to check out if they did a better job at coop split screen xD

Ah man I really hoped the next to be stable (not NFB) cuz my distro only packages the stable drivers.
Still chilling on 550.100 and waiting for explicit sync support...

How many times did they now fixed the EA App? It feels like every new Proton version list this fix again.
At this point it becomes the Herobrine from Minecaft. :D

Quoting: AllocFunny thing is I run 7 Days to Die on Linux using Zink which is a real performance boost. Therefore the app renders in OpenGL and the OS translates it all to Vulkan. It's like DXVK for DirectX but for OpenGL.but they still have a note that the Vulkan version isn't fully supportedYeah, I should probably remove that text by now :D
Thing is that Vulkan is so extremely dependent on the HW/OS/drivers/Unity combination that it can easily crash whereas GlCore might be way worse at performance but it's typically rock stable.
Which means, I am good with that. Glad it still has good Linux support! Many thanks.
